Okay so there is probably other threads discussing the end credit song but I was just surfing the tubes when I came across this via my subscription and I realized how powerful this song is. Maybe its just me but somehow the lyrics fit within the realm of what Mass Effect 3 will be about or at least what my Shepard will be experiencing.

I still say nothing will beat "M4 pt.2". I still get chills when I hear that song. Then again the first time I ever completed ME1 was after an 18 hour overnight gaming session (it was a out 10am) in my Christmas holiday from college (I must've been 17 at the time). We had no heating at the time. Maybe that's where the chills come from.

Considering how many ways the story may end, and the various emotional wavelengths experienced
due to each one, credits music will be hard to pick. The music will be the last piece heard at the end of the trilogy and may need to fit a happy, sad, bittersweet or downright brutal ending.

This song is very enjoyable either way.

I like the tibetan monk chant in the background, so relaxing.

I really like this song. I think it would make a great song for the end credits.

I'm sorry but the end credits song has to be Blue Oyster Cult's Don't Fear the Reaper.

^ Bioware, please include this in Mass Effect 3 as a fan song by Conrad Verner, and have Garrus moan about not having his own song.

nice, but it doesn't beat M4 Pt. 2 for the end credits.

I think the credits should have multiple songs. If you didn´t defeat the reapers, then the credits roll and in the left side or on the background you should see images of the reapers blasting all with a sad song, and if you won, another song, maybe with some touch of epic heroism and relaxed bits and the pictures will be of the reconstruction, shepard in peace with his romance or alone, images of salarians having a handshake with the krogans like old foes united (another species too), and in the final line of the credits a photo of shepard and all the squadmates around him appears with all of them smiling and the song ends. A little bit corny but...

God, im crying thinking that xD

Given the subject matter of ME3, they'd be foolish not to pick this as the end credits song.

That was a good song. M4 Pt.2 was great, but I don't think they'd use the same song for ME3.

I'm hoping Clint Mansell can come up with something full of ambience and atmosphere, reflective and calm, but at the same time either uplifting or disturbing, depending on your ending.

This...

Although I think "Don't Fear The Reaper" would be apt no matter the ending...

Shepard defeated them... the reapers weren't feared
Shepard and the galaxy taken over by them... we shouldn't fear them, there is no pain, there is no suffering... well... that is what Harbinger said... right?

One way they could make it different depending... for the former, IT GOTTA HAVE MORE COWBELL! :wizard:

Doesn't really have a Mass Effect feel, though.

The OP's suggestion is pretty good.

Am I the only one who doesn't want ''Dont fear the Reaper'' in ME3? I just think the song doesn't fit the mood of the games at all.

A song called commander Shepard just has to be in the game or credits...

Someone could cover the song and give it a more futuristic style.

It's quite good but the lyrics are a little hard to hear over the music (or maybe that's just me, I've never been good at hearing lyrics).

I agree, it's a nice song but I don't think it would work for me.
