First time I heard this song it screamed Mass Effect to me. Maybe not the end credits, but at least the instrumentals fit a last-boss type of battle.

Well in all honesty here and from the looks of things; we all have different tastes and really its up to BioWare. I mean hell I don't think I would've heard about Faunts if it weren't for Mass Effect, at the same time had I listened to it before Mass Effect, I honestly do not think I would've enjoyed it as much as I do now. So who knows really, I just hope they dont reuse the games score for the end credits despite how much I love "Suicide Mission" to be used in the end credits was just... well it was a special theme but c'mon.

No I don´t think this would fit the ending cause it has some feling like the battle is unfinished and almost sad. I think more like the song from the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer would suit better because its more heroic and such.

Different strokes for different folks. I think the OP's song has been the best linked so far, but it doesn't fit the Sci-Fi feel very much. I see it more fantasy/dragon age-y. But Mass Effect is treading the line of Sci Fi/Fantasy. Regardless I think it is a wonderful track :-).
