that guy is wierd but wow... that was a good song. would be pretty good as the ending song.
I would like to hear a song with the words in the credits, but this music is something reminds me of m4 part 2.
When I hear m4 part 2, I remember Mass Effect.

Naaaah. Sure it's nice, but there's no Mass Effect feeling which comes up when I hear the beginning of part 2!

While I love progressive music, I think a lot of people can tell M4pt1 is virtually a 9 minute introduction into Part 2. It takes about 7 minutes to build into the background rif that part 2 uses.
Anyway, I would love the game to go full circle and include part 2 at the end of the game again

bah i prefer obscure dark themes
Much as I like Suicide Commando, I don't think it fits. Maybe if Mass Effect had a more authentically grim, dirty, beat-up and worn out tone all along (http://patryk-garrett.deviantart.com/) but so far to me at least it still very much has that new car smell.

Anything but Faunts will do
The Moomin speaketh truth.
Although I would add: "Anything but Faunts - or 30 Seconds to Mars - will do."
Personally I vote for a post-ending montage with stills of the characters detailing their lives following ME3 with this tune playing in the background.

Rosetta is a band that is described as heavy music for astronauts. They have this great epicness to their music that lends itself to space. Anyway, most of their music with vocals a lot of fans would have a problem with, but this particular song is great and I don't think many people will have as much of a problem with them as their other stuff. However, they also have great ambient tracks.
Check'em out!

- Vengeance (lyric mix) - Instead of a more industrial beat, this version is orchestral and I think I prefer this version over the industrial version.

Song is okay, but personally, don't find it sci-fi enough for Mass Effect (like most of Jack's work, but then again, I always thought he didn't do too good job with it).+
For an ending song, I would have chosen this.
I would have stared at the credits, reliving this amazing experience of Mass Effect universe I had in those few years for exactly 4 minutes and 57 seconds.

the same thing. I can say that depending on the ending of this story is
it will have an effect if I would want to finish my other Shepards'
stories.

Alright, so sorry for bringing up an old thread but considering all things on topic - it would be best not to make another thread of the same topic.

Love that song, actually. Great find. I'd personally prefer it leading into the game's finale, though, rather than be the ending credits song. I'd like to have four or more actual songs in the game's soundtrack.
Most of the other stuff in this thread, while mostly very good music, are either pure instrumentals, shoegaze, or already parts of other soundtracks, like 30 Seconds to Mars' song, Bowie. A lot of it would make great scenario music, level music, things like that. Then some of it is really great rock music that doesn't quite fit. Rage Against The Machine fits, or better yet, get a song out of Audioslave. That Eminem song, if they used part of it, is great. Zeppelin would be awesome if they'd agree to a song, depending, not necessarily the one in the thread. Muse would be awesome, but not the songs in this thread, rather the kings and queens song, about the end of the world, time running out. The Hed P.E. song earlier in the thread would be awesome for a scene, with Jack for instance. The Killers would be great. La Reoux. Phoenix. Metric.
The guy they got for the soundtrack has scored a couple of great, unique movies, and he's definitely one of the best, if not the best, hollywood composers going right now, but I'd like to see that mixed with other kinds of songs at different impact points in the game, and a song for the credits. I don't know their budget, or what any of these would cost to hire on to write a song, or to license their already existing songs. If not that, I say get some up and comers on the soundtrack, like they got Florence and The Machine for the end song of DA2. Mediocre game, great freakin' song.
Sorry, I don't have a huge amount of time spent with YouTube or online multimedia in general. I'll try to look some of them up that would fit.
edit: Also, MY GOD, that guy on the keyboard is incredible. If I were looking for someone to help score my next game, I think I'd give him a call. Music savant master.
I just decided to look for some lower price tag music, newer groups, indies, for these, and there's some great stuff:
OK, check this out:
Crowhead - Love Letter
for the lovescene:
Lykke Li - I Know Places
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DKw_xnzKok&feature=related
maybe something like this for a darker turn:
Zeromancer - House of Cards
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObBp599gjDs&feature=related
or Fractured
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_hfvBuRTxM&feature=related
And my favorite band from the last few years, who I think fit:
The Black Angels
- Young Men Dead
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvKjpGP6P5Y
- Never/Ever
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etPGbuqF8Uo&feature=related
- The Sniper at The Gates of Heaven
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGXxcNkqdzA&feature=related
- Call to Arms
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHoS3A18QQc&feature=related
Call to Arms is probably my credit song, Never/Ever the fade out, Young Men Dead the apex leading into the endgame, Sniper's specific to something around one of the turning point missions.

Try playing Vigil and immediately afterwards, play this. I'm not sure if you guys will notice it, but it somehow fits in a powerful first couple minutes, yet it soothes into a subtle silence of triumph. It's pretty nice.
Edit: Also try stopping Vigil at 2:02. It's a good finish.
This is the best one I've heard. It has the Mass Effect feel right from the start. This has my vote. I'd love this playing in the final scene or at least in the final battle. You have my vote
