 Ok, so everytime I try to register my copy of Mass Effect, I get redirected to the same URL: www.bioware.com, and I can't understand why.

Under the "My account section", when I scroll to the drop-down menu "my games" and choose "register games", it brings me to a page where I can register multiple dragon age games, Mass Effect 2, and other bioware games, but Mass Effect isn't listed. Browsing through forums, a common solution people have posted is to go to "https://accounts.bioware.com/my_account/mepc_cdkey.html". When I try this I either get "cannot find URL", "cannot connect to accounts.bioware.com server", or just redirected to bioware.com, no longer signed in. 

I also tried to register through EA.com, but when I click on "register games" there, im sent to a page where I can "add a game to my library", but can't find any links/directions on how to register the CD key. 

I bought Mass Effect through Steam, and by right clicking "register game" in the steam library, i get broguth to the EA.com dead-end. I want to register the game so I can download "Bring Down the Sky", but can't obtain the BDtS key until Mass Effect is registered. Any suggestions?

The old bioware site was taken down. There are threads about this on the ME1 tech support forum.

Contact EA tech support on their website and tell them your issue. I had the same problem and was sent a working CD key.

Yup, i did that last night and got a key from them, all that browser hopping for nothing

I went there and after filling out product/platform/category chose live chat (you can choose phone chat too). I told them my situation and the guy said you dont need to register ME1 and game me a BDtS key/download link

I found it in this page (https://help.ea.com/...-dlc-redemption) at EA's help. It would be useless to post the key I got because sooner or later it will reach its usage limit, but just follow the link and it'll always display a new, working key
