Maybe there is another Heavy Weight race that Shepard can persuade to help his side.
B5 had Super Weights the Vorlon vs. The Shadows, so besides all the races we know now, maybe there is a another Heavy Weight race thats been watching and waiting to help us?
What do you think?

Too trite, imo. Kind of like digging up a long lost Ancient Precursor Forerunner Dwemer Arnor Xel'Naga Prothean technology to save the day at the last second. I'ts been done a few times before....

The only problem with that for Mass Effect is it's not really foreshadowed at all. And no, Klencory doesn't count as foreshadowing.
In B5 the earlier races were introduced first hand well before the resolution. The kind of showed up, made their presence known and then didn't do anything for the next like two whole seasons, except make some vague promise about being out there if/when needed.

I love B5, but such a thing wouldn't really work without being ridiculously trite. In B5, the Vorlons and Shadows were built up into the force that they were over the course of the series. Even the other First Ones were given some introduction before being brought in as a plot device.
But in Mass Effect, the only super race with any build-up is the Reapers. Attempting to pull a Shadow war type adversary out of thin air would just be too much. Deus ex machina is not really a good thing, especially when there is so much emphasis on what choices Shepard makes.

Also of note with B5, they had to cut a season out on short notice and condensed the shadow/vorlon resolution into a few episodes because the show got cancelled in it's 4th season. Made the First Ones solution seem more abrupt then it was originalyl planned to be. It's only luck it got picked up for it's 5th by a separate company.
