So I've gotten some better pieces of armor in mid-late game and I've decided to use those instead of my Blood Dragon armor I've been using since the start of the game. I'm not going to change my sentinals build but I'm wondering what would work better?

Sentinal- Level 21
Throw- 3
Warp- 1
Power Armor
Overload- 3
Cryo Blast- None
Raider
AP Rounds- 3

Now my question is should I go the route of Blood Dragon armor? (+10% Shields/ +15% Power Damage) or My customized armor (-5% Power Recharge Time/ +20% Melee Dmg/ +11% Wpn Dmg/ +14% Shields/ +5% Hvy Weapon Ammo)?

Armor doesn't matter, at all.

I tried the blood dragon armor once and ditched it straight away because it looks so crap. I like to see my character properly when I'm playing but the blood dragon armor hid him completely and just made him look like a giant ******!

I hate to admit it but that's also what I thought at first. But with my last run I actually used it and I like it by now. It doesn't look to shabby and it reminds me of a brilliant game. So a reference to a brilliant game within a brilliant game, I like it.

But on the other hand I have to agree with Kronner, because I don't really get the impression that armor has a great impact on the game. It's more a cosmetic thing for me so I try different armor just to change it up.

I don't think the armor makes much difference either tbh and I just go out with the standard game N7 based stuff with the groovy eyepiece HUD and the huge shoulder pad type things.  I mean let's face it, if in real life you went into battle with no headgear on like shepaard is able to do, you'd have your head blown off within seconds against foes like these!   Still, shep's a total rebuilt part-cybernetic bad ass and could go out fighting in his underpants and still come back without a scratch!!

Since you are using the Power Armor / Raider combo, I'll assume you utilize a more caster oriented play style.  Judging from the bonuses, your customized armor looks like this?

Head = Archon Visor (-5% power recharge time)
Chest = Kestral Torso Sheath (+10% melee damage, +5% weapon damage, +3% shield strength
Shoulders = N7 Shoulder Guards (+3% weapon damage)
Arms = Kestral Arm Sheathing (+3% weapon damage, +3% shield strength, +10% melee damage)
Legs = Kestral Power Pack (+8% shield strength, +5% heavy weapon ammo)

Here is what I propose:

Head = Archon Visor (+5% recharge time reduction)
Chest = N7 Chestplate (+3% power damage)
Shoulders = Amplifier Plates (+5% power damage)
Arms = Stabilization Gauntlets (+5% weapon damage)
Legs = Stimulator Conduits. (+10% storm speed)

I find melee damage and shield strength bonuses to be less useful on a caster Sentinel (as opposed to a CQC Sentinel).  With your build, I think power damage bonuses would have much more utility than weapon damage bonuses.  Power damage bonuses affect ammo powers as well.  Keep in mind, your armor customization nets +6% weapon damage over mine.  My armor customization nets +8% power damage over yours.  Here's the math (using both evolutions of Armor Piercing Ammo):

Tungsten Ammo: +70% (weapon damage) * 1.08 (power damage bonus) = +75.6% (weapon damage)
*In this instance, the power damage bonus from my armor provides a +5.6% weapon damage bonus (versus the +6% weapon damage advantage from your armor).

Squad AP Ammo: +50% (weapon damage) * 1.08 (power damage bonus) = +54% (weapon damage)
*In this instance, the power damage bonus from my armor provides a +4% weapon damage bonus (versus the +6% weapon damage advantage from your armor).  However, the +4% weapon damage bonus from my armor's power damage bonus also extends to squad mates.  The +6% weapon damage bonus from your armor does not.

Obviously, the AP Ammo bonus only affects armor and health (where as the weapon damage advantage from your armor is across the board).  With that said, you shouldn't need to shoot your way through barriers and shields very often.  Let's not forget power damage bonuses also affect your biotic and tech powers.

In the grand scheme of things, the armor bonuses are little more than negligible.  It's just fun to crunch the numbers every once in a while.  Of course, this is all for naught if you use a more CQC play style...

With the exception of capacitor chestplate (-10% shield recharge time) and no helmet equipped (not hiding my beautfiul face) I have Kestel armor equipped everywhere else, it provides a pretty nice shield boost IMO.

Except early in the game when you don't have many upgrades.  I'm talking about the ones that give weapon damage upgrades.  You can get 14% weapon damage from armor.  As Kronner has posted a million times before that does not mean too much after you get a bunch of weapon upgrades ( with their shield/barrier/armor bonuses ), but I think it makes a difference, especially if you are going for an ammo effect ( like incendary or cryo ).

I'm fairly aggressive with my sentinal but I'm going to try out what you suggested

I didn't like it at all. I switched to Guardian and changed it around to my other configuration. I could barely do any damage because my shield would go down so fast and my powers just weren't available fast enough.

Fair enough. You did mention playing a more aggressive style. My configuration is for a pure caster role.

Just use what looks cool. Armor makes almost no difference after Horizon, and if you need a little boost before then use the Kesteral Armor.
