In Mass Effect 3 will there or should there be a mission limit like after you get the Reaprer IFF for the time till Earth is gone.
Will there be a push for time?

I agree with Vrex. Well once I think about it, only if you entire a system knowing there will be conflict. Apparently the galaxy map shows that. Hopefully they do that right and have an auto save for being able to go back before you entered the system like how they had autosaves for restarting missions in 2.

Pretty sure they shot this down already.

God no!
Why do companies spend so much time on development and then 'rush' the playerbase through it!

Glad so many people say no. I'd hate it myself. Just because some badass stupid criminal was left alive in an earlier game he'd take up enough of my time so half of earth is left dead.
Nah, would take away from the fun. Rather have it like in the first game where the game pushes you forward when at a certain point (just make it clear that we're entering the "room of no return").

That's sad.
The only bad thing about the ME2 timer was that they let you delay doing the IFF mission.

If you played a certain Nintendo Gamecube game called "Pikmin", you would know that the day/time system in that particular game is screwed up. Instead of feeling entertained as the game progresses, the player felt rushed and there were times that the stress about time would screw some players up. Ever since I played that game, I believe that a game with time constraints is a game that lacks immersion; Although, If the time limit were 100 real life hours to beat the game and save Earth than that would be acceptable to me if it were to be brought up. Although, I believe our actions and choices should be the verdict of who wins or dies in the outcome. Time in Mass Effect shouldn't be considered a variable at all, but more or less just.. there and having no effect on the game progression.

I think it would be good at an end of a mission, say you need to get to the extraction point before 'x' amount of seconds or planet Y will blow up. Definitely not for an entire mission, or over several missions. Let us enjoy the hard work you put into the game.
I think it'd be sweet though to have an extraction timer, sort of like getting to the Conduit in ME1. Not lasting for very long, just at the end of a mission or two. To give the player an adrenaline rush, or at least the stress of getting to an endpoint before time runs out.
