lets say there is a major decision that needs to be made and the teams draws weapons at each other.. who do you side with?

I'd switch Tali with Legion and side with group 1, otherwise I would "accidently" shoot Tali in the back while siding with team 1

Completely depends on what the standoff is about. I like all the characters, but if it's something like the Jack/Miranda conflict, where I thought one character was clearly in the wrong, then it would be obvious to me. If it was a more gray scenario, then I would have to agree with whichever one my ideals for shaping the galaxy best matched.

Group 1, the only person I liked in group 2 is Grunt..but Wrex more than makes up for that.

If I could trade Tali for Miranda I'd go for team 1.

Legion IMO is stronger and more equipped than Tali
Grunt vs. Wrex is a coin toss
Miranda is more equipped and better than Ash...not sure about Kaiden
Jacob vs. Garrus... Jacob b/c of Biotic abilities...
Combined: team 2 would whoop team 1's @ss!

If I had to, the only correct decision is the team with Tali in it. Anything else is fail.

Since everyone else mentions it, if I could trade the VS or Liara off for Legion it's something I'd be more comfortable with. As it stands picking either side will cause problems with relations between the Quarians and the Geth which isn't something I can afford to allow at a time like this.

Im conflicted by Legion and Wrex..... everyone else is secondary. But I can just use Paragon/Renegade to make them love each other again.

pfft, Wrex can destroy the entire 2 team single handedly.

On topic: switch Ash/Kaidan for Legion and Team one is all Shep needs.

True, I'd give that one to Samara unless Liara has some kind of intel about an achilles heel she may have.

Wrex would wipe the floor with Grunt.

Kaiden would destroy Miranda.  Everything for Miranda has come too easy, she's never really had to challenge herself since she was born pretty damn close to perfect.  That's why she couldn't hold the shield up on the collector base.  Kaiden's had to work for everything he has.  He'll beat her with true grit.  Ash would probably take Miranda too, for the same reason.

Garrus is diet Shepard.  Despite being less fattening, his same great taste would be too much for Jacob.  There's no prize for Jacob at the end of that fight.

I'm going to do this individually as most are talking about swapping.

Garrus over Jacob given our loyalites (since ME1 and almost always had my back in ME2)

Miranda over these two because they'll never get over the "Cerberus" thing, really. (That isn't to say they wouldn't pair up well with Miranda, but I don't have time to settle petty arguments every five minutes. So, yes, Behave, you two!)

Wrex because it's makes more sense to take "big bro" over "little bro"

Tali for her loyalty since ME1, but sometimes you can't let emotions consume you.

Samara because she can be a b*tch when needed; Liara doesn't seem to have that in her
