Dragon age origins is a great game and all. It offers lots of memorable moments that are beyond counting.
One of those countless moments are those weird moments that just make us think "WTF???" for a big time. They may be humorous, serious, can be caused by some bug or is part of the gameplay itself and many other things.

So what weird WTF moments have you witnessed or experienced? Here is some of mine that I can remember at the moment.

My very first playtime with a human noble killing those rats. I knew this game has lots of blood but I didnt realize that even rats can bleed that much . Heck my warden looked like he´s been in some big battle. I couldnt help but laugh and even more after I walk around talking to people. They are like "greetings my lord..." and no one mentions anything about my warden being covered in blood like its just another day in Highever.

I watched youtube and saw the pearl. All those disturbing "suprise me" options. Didnt laugh but I was more like confused. Then I thought that maybe I dont even want to know what just happened.

I wanted to see Morrigans reaction when I tried to seduce Isabela in the pearl. I was romancing her and all and I loaded my last save after the attempt because I dont want to make her angry. Her reaction dialogue was pretty weird and hilarious. "I swear by Flemeths beard that if her stink rubs of on you, I will never touch you again" FLEMETHS BEARD????? That was unexpected.

Sandal. What is the story behind this dwarf? I found him standing between a big number of dead darkspawn and he just stands there covered in blood and all he can say is "ENCHANTMENT". Hopefully we get some answers one day.

Happens in Orzamar. Some fanatics attack me on that big bridge and the guards just stand there about two meters away doing nothing. So this is how you people keep order...riiiigghhtt<_<

The landsmeet. I´ve watched those moments from youtube when someone chooses Loghain and lets Alistair get executed. How is it that no one says absolutely nothing? Eamon, Riordan...no one. It was sad and disturbing to watch.

Killing brother Genitivi. One of the first dragon age videos I saw before I bought it myself. The whole scene is just...weird with that knife in Genitivi´s head and he actually turns around and then falls. In some twisted way it was little funny actually.

Anora knowing about the joinings dangers in the landsmeet. How the heck does she know about this? I thought the wardens dont share those secrets with outsiders.

Thats some that I remember. What about you guys? Have any weird WTF moments you want to share?

I had a recent moment where during a rough fight, Wynne just got up from being "dead" in the middle of combat. No one casted revive or anything. My warden was engaged with a sylvan, and then all of a sudden Wynne got up and casted Vessel of the Spirit. Perhaps her spirit friend was looking out for her once again?

I had a warden who was romancing Morrigan. Eventually, towards the end of the game, Leliana accuses him of cheating, when they never had a romance to begin with.

I think everyone had the same "wtf" moment when they first entered a conversation with someone while their warden is covered in blood, with no real urgengy to clean it off. For me, it was real funny talking to Leliana for the first time in Dane's Refuge in Lothering, when Leliana in her Chantry robe is covered in blood, and yet doesn't seem to notice. The rats during the hn origins is another such moment. How do you end up dripping with blood after slaying a few rats? Did they toss them in the air and wave their weapons, shredding them into pieces?

The Genitivi death scene is funny. He doesn't just fall over dead: he has to turn around, look at the warden, then falls over.

Wynne does that sometimes. It's like an auto-res. Oddly, it can occassionally happen before she gets the Vessel of the Spirit power.

As for the blood, I always turn it off. My warden once hired an "escort" at the Pearl after fighting Howe's men, and he still had blood on him during the pre-sex cutscene. Now that's disturbing.

And there are a lot of instances where characters should react to something but don't. I know a lot of people were upset that no one really grieved over Alistair during the post-Coronation if he died killing the Archdemon. And yes, it's very odd that Eamon doesn't pipe up if you have him executed at Landsmeet. (I almost always spare him, though - it's more fun to find him drunk in Kirkwall in DA2).

Still, if you think Origins has a lot of WTF moment, try DA2. The entire Chapter 3 is one long WTF.

I sometimes wonder is there is a carry-over effect from previously played games. Sometimes I catch my mage casting spells that he has yet not learned.

Your mage(s) shouldn't be casting spells that they haven't learned.  This has to be a bug if it's true.  Are mods involved?

Oh believe me I have played DA2 many times. It does have its own "WTF" moments. Maybe I will make a similar post about it if no one else does.

That does happen to me also sometimes. I havent figured out how does it happen because there have been moments when she has learned that special spell and it has even been activated and when she falls in battle, she doesnt wake up when I expect her to. Maybe the spirit is not feeling so helpful all the time?

No, no mods.  It has not happened often.  Two or three times in about 5 playthroughs.  Always when I was playing the main character as a mage, and always when I was playing as Alistair and letting the mage run on his tactics menu.  Happened in the Deserted Warehouse in Denerim and in the Mage Tower sequence just before going into the Sloth Demon's domain.

I have also had Wynne using Vessel of the Spirit before I knew she had it (as you discussed elsewhere).

Okay, I just now in my 5th playthrough of this game, found the hidden graveyard in Haven with all the developer jokes on the headstones (e.g., "Here lies multiplayer.")

Not sure if it was in Dragon Age 2 or Dragon Age: Origins, but I know one of the dwarfs (Varric or Oghren) said "Andraste's ******, woman!" or something to that effect. I was cracking up for ages.

Edit: Also, on my first playthrough, hearing the sickening poem from Branka's lover and hearing the poem from the little boy in Haven... I was in "WTF" mode.  xD

Oh!  And the first time I realized you could secks up the Desire Demon.
