Soldier will be the only one who can equip more than two weapons at once.

ME1 Soldier tops any class in any game, unless in ME3 they let us choose ANY bonus ability, instead of a few selection. Because Soldier with Tech Armor in ME3 would be THE ****!!!!

You could use the Assault rifle as non soldier class in ME2 as well, from when you board the Collector ship...
Technically you had even more option to use Assault Rifle with any class in ME1 than in ME2 seeing as any class could use it from the start of the game and put points into using it accurately if had taken the weapon as their bonus skill at start on a playthrough after an initial one where it was unlocked.
OP if you think other classes being able to use Assault Rifle makes Soldier useless then clearly you don't know too much about the class you claim to like so much.
No other class has Adrenaline Rush and as has been pointed out, Soldiers will be able to equip ALL of the weapons even the SMG (unless that demo footage is inaccurate) which previously they didn't have access to.

1. Not every weapon is useful, and a majority of the time an AR will do the trick quite well.
2. Unlike Tech or Biotic upgrades, soldiers have to upgrade every single weapon, to reach their full potential.
Addendum: Out of all the classes I feel that the soldier should of gotten the 25% discount because we buy/build so damn much.
To those who point out to Adrenaline Rush being such a good skill, Infiltrators have a slowdown with any sniper rifle via class power, and the Vanguards charge is much more powerful due to it being able to be affected by biotic bonuses as well

while other classes need "powers", Soldiers use guns. Lots of guns.
That anyone else can use. We may get to use all of them at once, but if that is our only perk than it is extremely dissapointing.
Fortitude? Until we know what it does no cause for celebration. What if its just a weaker tech armor that doesn't explode?
Soldier do need something to help make them unique. Some sort of hook or pull. At first I thought it was going to be grenades, but it seems those are available for other classes right?
