"PRE-SALE: This lithograph will ship by July 8, 2011. Please note that ship dates on pre-sale items are estimates. Other items puchased in the same order as a pre-sale item will be held until all items are available to ship."
I think the team litho said "by" as well. Though the reason they may also be late is because I think they are printed in Canda and they just came off their postal strike. So, they have to work through all the mail that hasn't been delivered for who knows how long.
" They're printed by Bioware up in Edmonton I believe, and are then shipped to Treehouse's warehouse/distribution center in Denver. I remember one of the releases (it might've been Wards/Korlus but I'm not positive) was delayed a week because the bulk shipment of lithographs from Edmonton to Denver got tied up in customs for some reason."
Just taking stabs at possble answers.

Someone asked this on their Facebook wall, and here's the response treehouse gave them;
"Jonathan - we had a slight customs delay in processing the items, which pushed them back by a few days. We were trying to ship the 1st week in July, but it might end up at the very beginning of the 2nd week. My apologies won't suffice - but hopefully that gorgeous print will make up for it!"
Hope this helps assuage any fears and impatience!

This is a bit of a ridiculous excuse. There is no reason they should have waited as long as they did to get them printed and shipped to the warehouse. Why in the world would you wait until the last week of June to have them shipped over?______ wrote...

Bioware may have pushed a lot of these deadlines, my understanding is the Facility sending these over from canuckistan is a Bioware facility, not a Treehouse facility, and the onus of poor timeliness may land on Bioware's head.
I also think there's no excuse for getting bent out of shape over a week's delay, though. This isn't a perishable product, a week's time is not physically hurting anyone, except perhaps the ebay resellers. But I take a slightly sick joy in watching them and their poorly planned selling-what-they-dont-physically-have plan take it in the rear a bit now.

Heh heh. It's worth waiting an extra few days if it might make them sweat just a little.______ wrote...

We let you know about estimates on shipping and update the site if/when that information changes. We have to print the items, approve the printing, and make sure they are shipped in PERFECT condition to us in order to try to get them to you in the best condition possible. Safe shipping is not always the fastest method, and customs delays on large orders can push things even further. The Team litho especially needed special care, hence the very slight delay.
They are arriving this week, and will begin shipping on Friday or Monday. As always, an email will be sent with all pertinent shipping information when the items leave our warehouse.

Just a side note: the lithographs are definitely not printed within the BioWare Edmonton offices. Sorry to burst your bubbles.
Ah, the clarification is appreciated. this was simply something someone had posited on a past delay that had been boiled down to Canadian customs. (I believe the customs part, I've spent more time at the border of canada being inspected than I have in Canada!) S'what we get for playing telephone with already faulty data!
