Before all the legal hassles with Hasbro, Obsidian was working on another patch for NWN2 but wasn't able to finish it. Now that it appears that Atari and Hasbro have worked things out, has their been any mention of Obsidian finishing off that patch at all?
Any news on a patch?

No. Nwn2 will receive additional patches when pigs fly, and despite the presence of wizards in the game, they will not be flying anytime soon.

As I heard it, the patch was pretty much done, so there's still a glimmer of hope that one day, when all this has finally tired itself out, it might be released. Not a very big glimmer, mind, and not worth counting on given that even if it were to happen, it could be years yet still. We may as well assume it's not going to happen, and if by some miracle it does, all the better (but the pessimist is never disappointed, anyway...).

About that patch you mention, I was hoping something like the 1.69 for NWN1, which IIRC, was sort of unofficial, though still made by Bioware's devs. But if that was possible, it would have happened already.

1.69 was a long time coming for the NWN community. Heck, Arx Fatalis just got a final patch, plus it's source code released.

Fine, the possibility exists, I don't deny that. I don't remember how much time had passed when 1.69 was released. But I wouldn't count much on it, I don't expect a patch anytime soon, if ever. Wish I'm wrong.
