Well the free DLC is a good way of letting them add content to their unfinished game in my opinion.

So, using that logic, any game which adds DLC is actually unfinished?

I don't know what's so unfinished about the Witcher 2. What else could have been added that wouldn't just be extra quests/items. It get's across the story it wants to tell, it gives you more than enough content to enjoy with during that time, it has 2 completely different middle sections.

Act 3 could have added some more, but honestly storywise, Geralt shouldn't even be doing the few sidequests available to him anyways. Act 3 takes place during 1 day in my opinion. You arrive early morning, in the afternoon you choose which path you follow, and in the evening you encounter Letho.

It's a good form of marketing, in a market dominated by DLC which isn't free.

Not only is it likely to get more people to buy TW2 (both on PC now, and 360 later), but will improve their general reputation as a company, and probably increase sales of future titles.

I never actually insinuated the use of any logic to be honest, it was pureley opinion based on the fact I feel the game is/was somewhat unfinished and short.

With the above said calling the additional content "DLC" is a bit over the top in my opinion, I know peoples expectations of what DLC is can be different from others, but what they have added so far would not warrant paying for by any stretch of the imagination, they are just patching in quests and goodies to make the game feel like it should have done from the start and I give them credit for doing so.
