If you've seen the ME3 demo of the first mission you also know that Anderson is a squadmember for the first time ever!

Now, BW has a notorious streak of putting you along a guy who gets killed right in the first mission.

ME1: Jenkins

ME2: That guy who betrays you..... oh yeah, Wilson..... what an ass

ME3: Anderson?

The demo cuts out right after the new Normandy touches down, so anything can happen while Shepard and Anderson head towards it and James along with Spectre Kaindan/Ashley probably won't be much help either.

We know Anderson doesn't get on because he plans to stay around on Earth.

So yeah, he could definitely be doomed, but we don't have any idea yet.

I was thinking that too. Is it official? He stays on Earth? I still say he dies at some point.

I hope he doesn't die at the beginning (the end would be fine, if it's well written) simply because I love Keith David's voice acting. If he only gets a half dozen lines I will be a sad puppy.

While they do like to give us one person who dies in the very beginning, we're going to see the reapers cause havoc. There will be plenty dying around us.

Not to mention, if you've looked at spoilers we already have met someone in the demo who won't be alive by the time Shepard leaves Earth. Not a proper character, and no name given, but I'd guess he'd fit the 'prologue death' scenario.

Anderson reinstates Shep into the Alliance and then The Normandy takes off while Anderson stays behind...that's pretty much it. He doesn't die.

Edit: Also yes, the kid dies but I'm sure most people already know that.

The kid hiding in the vent needs to die. I haven't seen any children dying since I gunned them down in Fallout 2

Hell, I'm surpirsed he doesn't get gunned down during a Navy commercial and have somebody replace his voice.

It's the poor "duct rat" kid Shepard meets just before boarding the Normandy that dies when the Reaper blow up his escape shuttle out the sky. Not Anderson. Anderson stays behind to coordinate the resistance against the Reapers.

He will probably be our ground contact when we return to save Earth or bust.

My guess is that he will lead the resistance effort on earth, and then the Reapers will capture him, making him into a ba better than Saren Reaper Avatar, which you will need to beat before getting to the final boss. There will be no talking him into suicide option, you will just get a few words with him, before gunning him down, and then he will die in your arms, telling you how to defeat the Reapers (as he was part of their mind) and then die, making all gamers cry.
