Mass Effect (1) on PS3 is not. Going. To happen. No matter what you want or what insane idea you have, it's not going to happen.

And you forget that Bioware stated in a Gameinformers interview that the reason ME1 wasnt ported to PS3 with ME2 was because they felt ME2 was a great starting point. Face it if EA was going to port ME1 to PS3, I am sure it wouldve been done as a double feature release when ME2 came to the PS3.
Also on the Microsoft thing, ME1 is what will get PS3 users to get the 360 so ones that got PS3 version of ME2 and ME3 could go experience the series as a whole. Ive played ME1 when it first came out than got rid of my 360 sometime after it RROD and I beat Fable 2. Ive considered getting a 360 for this exact purpose of playing a save game that came from ME1. But I did have a side thought that maybe Microsoft could let Sony have ME1 for X amount of dollars.

I find it hard that you don't seem to understand the grasp that Microsoft has over the first game?

So significant it wasn't even released via Games For Windows platform on PC?

Do I need to remind you of the response Microsoft made when ME2 was announced for the PS3?

""With both Mass Effect titles launching first on Xbox 360 combined with
the wealth of available paid downloadable content on Xbox Live today,
Xbox 360 remains the best place to experience the Mass Effect
franchise,"

Translation with regards your idea... not going to happen.

What exactly did you expect their PR to be when it was announced PS3 was getting ME2? "Ohh we're so happy you can get the same experience on PS3 now!"? Of course not.

Simply because, if it was going to happen, it would have happened already and they wouldn't have needed to come out with the Comic.

Or maybe it didn't happen because ME1's market value was greater a year/couple of months ago thus the publishing rights would cost EA more?

Except working on 2 ports, including a technically older game would take more time and by then EA couldn't be able to charge $60 for ME2. That would have to be a price for both games.

Microsoft only publishes on the console for Bioware. Jade Empire on xbox was published by Microsoft and the pc version wasn't.
