Add a little more futuristic styling and those would be nice! I'd accept that over not having oneInutaisho7996 wrote...
I could see something like the kamas stormtroopers and clone troopers wear in Star Wars. Some sort of leather or kevlar half-skirt that will protect the gaps in the armor at the crotch from low-flying shrapnel. They're open in the front so it wouldn't be as easy to get it caught on something, and not hinder running.

I could see there being an issue with clipping and getting it to move right, but if Arkham Asylum can have Batman's cape, it can be done.

and btw- that isn't an armored skirt, that's a belt spat. made for wading through piles of corpes with potentially sharp edges. guys AND girls wear those.

I'd also like to apologize if I happen to be wrong, but the OP came off as a troll post. Maybe I'm jumping the gun here and making ironically, "disingenuous assertions", but there you go.

Honestly, I do think they should incorporate some sort of light armor (like Kasumi's) or something slightly more sexy for the types of girls who want to prance around like Bayonetta. Or guys who want who want to prance around like Bayonetta. I really don't care, as long as the variety of armor is slightly increased from ME2.
Although, I would not want a skirt. I always play a mage or support character in MMOs/RPGS and it drives me absolutely insane when the armor designer decides to stick with the stereotypical "robe-dress". (I'm looking at you, Dragon Age) I just want some pants. A decent pair of pants.

I've always loathed the stereotype that Mages must wear a monk robe. Atleast Morrigan's default costume wasn't so bad. But I digress

:x I really wanted her pants/skirt thing. It was pretty grim/goth (with all dem belts), but it was a cool concept regardless. Her shirt defied the laws of physics though.

You had me right up until that point. Morrigan's the only character in gaming who puts clothes on for sex scenes haha. As a Jack Vance fan I totally agree with you that mages should diversify their apparel, though.

it's going to be pretty hard running from the reapers in a long skirt or getting shot at by mercs in a tiny one -____-

Edit: I'm kind of derailing this topic, but I think that's why I liked morrigan's pants so much. She was a swamp witch, not a cleric or a mage that studied inside the walls of the circle.
Demanding the alliance, or even cerberus, to create a battle skirt messes up the continuity and atmosphere of the Mass Effect world..
Miranda being an exception. That light armor is a bit TOO light.

You know, anime looked good in games back in the early 90's, but something horrific happened in japan at the end of the 20th century. Please keep the picasso style costumes, spiky hair, and justin bieber looking PC's out of my bioware games.

I know some people who refer to this era of anime as "post-evangelion". Makes me snicker every time.
Anime in the 80ies-90ies is an entirely different monster than what it is today. (especially in terms of fashion) Maybe I'm just growing into a grumpy old lady who thinks the younger generations are outlandish or absurd in their attire. Hmph.

If it were me designing the game there would be even fewer 'girly' options. Shepard wouldn't even have makeup. Eyeliner running into your eyes from sweat during the heat of battle = very bad. My FemShep goes natural.
