Yeah our armed forces are really shooting themselves in the foot by not using armored skirts!Maria Caliban wrote...

Because I said wearing pants was impractic-- oh, wait, nope. I pointed out that calling a skirt highly impractical for combat ignores that the Roman legions both wore skirts and were a high effective fighting force.Dangerfoot wrote...

Do you have an actual rebuttal to my comment, or were you banking on everyone having your poor grasp of logic?

I don't like the idea of skirt armor, but why not for casual wear or a dress uniform she could wear at the trial.
Personally, I don't consider FemShep girly and mine wouldn't probably wear a skirt, but most of them are pretty chaotic and unpredictable, so I can't be sure.

It's even worse in the Arrival DLC when Shepard is talking to Hackett and the lighting doesn't obscure what's under that skirt.javierabegazo wrote...

Kasumis memories DLC package. No skirt armour though, just casual.

Hi guys! My boyfriend got me into Mass Effect 2 and at first I was hesitant because I'm not too keen on FPS, but I made an adept with pink armor and love the game.
I was wondering if ME3 would include pink armor or maybe some more girly things for female Shephard. Like maybe an armor skirt instead of legs or a vanity to change makeup or hair.
Armor skirt like:

That'd be pretty cool. Thanks!
Too jrpg style for my taste...

You want to throw yourself down with loose fabric flapping about it's your funeral, best of luck when (not if) it gets caught in something. There is a reason why modern soldiers tape every loose backpack/combat vest strap together so that theres nothing flailing about, it's why the longcoat is no longer in use as well. You want a piece of clothing that fits your bodyshape.
Military clothing for military personell on a military ship, and that is my final word on the subject matter.

Are we doing this? seriously? Is this something that we're discussing?
Looks like it.
Actually its a strange thing. There does seem to be a mix of femshep fans who want to see her less resemble her male counterpart. As in they want to lose the inherently male animations and those that want it to remain. Of course its a different subject matter to what the OP suggested. I really dont think many people want something along those lines. I would like some lighter armour for her though certainly.

And Captain Crash, good point. I think we are in an age now where feminism is screaming and any idea of femininity like dresses or mannerisms is automatically thought of like sexist. I understand women in leadership roles are usually represented to have more masculine and stoic personalities... but does that always have to be the case?

Signs of trolling-
A. Signed up today
B. Hasn't registered any games
C. Says something that will definitely cause vocal reactions
Its not always the case, but most of the time, it is.
The pieces fit. Don't feed. Move on.
Why does it matter if someone has registered games? Not everyone is an e-peen dork such as yourself.
Also, who cares if he/she signed up today? Perhaps they just wanted to add a point.
Trolls are based on trolling posts, stop being so ignorant.

I've read some of the replies and I'd just like to say that I'm not suggesting we get rid of pants for femShep entirely. All I'm suggesting is a few more cosmetic choices. There is the argument it's not "realistic" for battle but the girls I've recruited in ME2 are wearing much less than I am and are fighting great.

I don't think it woud be sexist, I think it would be stupid, Shepard can be feminine all she wants... WHEN SHE'S ON LEAVE! You know, the time when we don't play her. She's a soldier, look at the rules that kind of stuff would get you kicked out of the army. Also she's a soldier who happens to be a woman, there's a reason the gender is cosmetic.
BTW if someone suggested more maculine stuff for maleshep, I would be just as horrified, and the pink armor, heck all the bright armor needs to go, it's like wearing a giant target saying: SHOOT ME!
About the other females wearing feminine impractical stuff, there have been complaints about that too, but bioware doesn't seem to have listened. What happened to you Ashley? You look like you're a model pretending to be a soldier! Why do you have to be filled with a bunch of perverted men bioware? Why?!!!
Also how old are you? It's just, you're asking for girly stuff and when people use the term girly they tend to be referring to preteens and toddlers... And some extremely immature teenagers. Shouldn't the title be "Hoping for more feminine options in ME3"?

Seriously, this isn't Barbies make up fantasy land. It's a war story that's supposed to be serious.

Shepard wearing a skirt (armored or otherwise) into battle is as silly as ManShep going to battle in surf shorts and sandals.

- It's optional (my FemSheps don't like skirts but if some do that's fine)
- It's also an option for ManShep (equal opportunities)
My only girly request for ME3 would be more hairstyles (just because the current ones are awful) and more casual outfits to wear on the Normandy.

Femshep is more of a butch and tough woman, whom can evidently headbutt a krogan and deck a yahg. A skirt on someone like her would be like Sheploo in tight pink overalls; it wouldn't work. Femshep is no LadyHawke.
Even LadyHawke isn't that girly, she just looks more feminine and even becomes offended when called girly: "You think I'm girly?!"
