I`m a woman, I hate pink, bunny`s, rainbow, sparkle`s ...
If Femshep will be more "girly" (in MAGICAL PIECE pink, jprg, sparkle style) it will be disaster, end of the world.
Shoot me plz!

Because I said wearing pants was impractic-- oh, wait, nope. I pointed out that calling a skirt highly impractical for combat ignores that the Roman legions both wore skirts and were a high effective fighting force.

Do you have an actual rebuttal to my comment, or were you banking on everyone having your poor grasp of logic?

I never said that you claimed pants were impractical. But skirts are not exceptionally practical for combat. Romans didn't win because they had skirts. There is no advantage to gain from wearing a skirt rather than appropriate futuristic clothing. Your comment was just silly, and your foaming defense of it is just as silly.

I am all for things that are girlier, but this suggestion in particular seems, um, immersion-breaking.

I'm pretty sure if Romans went to space in a sci-fi setting, their spacesuits wouldn't have skirted tunics. Image IPB

Oh who am I kidding, if it worked in the bronze age it should work in the 23rd century.

No. Be grateful it is Bioware making the games, and that they even allowed a femshep. For I could honestly see a decent chunk of the market have Sheploo being the only Shep.

Edit: Given how a majority of the players stuck with the default face, they wouldn't be exactly wrong too.

I always thought the pink armor color was a joke. Personally me dudeShep wears hot pink armor.

One more vote for NO skirt armor. We should go AWAY from the high heels in battle, hair product the most important weapon sort of mindset, not run happily towards it smashing our faces into the scenery.

I don't have an overriding need to see my femshep in a skirt but, if a skirt like the romans had, made of strips of metal or ceramic plates, were to be worn in addition to the trousers then it could both contribute to a more feminine aesthetic while at the same time providing more armour than even the standard suit.

Could be interesting :D

Well it wasn't exactly the bronze age, and Romans did wear trousers in battle (less so in civilian settings because they were considered too feminine). But then the barbarians came who MORE trousers and they conquered Rome. Thus, proof of the strategic and military superiority of the garment.

Hi guys!  My boyfriend got me into Mass Effect 2 and at first I was hesitant because I'm not too keen on FPS, but I made an adept with pink armor and love the game.

I was wondering if ME3 would include pink armor or maybe some more girly things for female Shephard.  Like maybe an armor skirt instead of legs or a vanity to change makeup or hair.

Armor skirt like:

That'd be pretty cool.  Thanks!

They're soldiers.

So no.

As long it is optional I don't really care. Equip your Shep in whatever you like, I equip mine in combat gear :)

I'm all for the cute options, the skirts, the longer hair, all of it, why not? It doesn't mean I'd necessarily pick that, I'd consider it, and that's ultimately the point, more options are better. If you want your Femshep to wear a regular suit and I want mine to wear a skirt, or the other way around, why shouldn't we both end up happy? I really liked that outfit from the Kasumi mission, I'd dress Femshep in that all the time if I could, I was disappointed that I couldn't. That's the outfit I REALLY want for her :) .

Anyway, changing theme a bit, I think they should make different set of animations for fem-shep, don't you think? Especially in some cut scenes.

I wish the game would give you more femine replies if you are playing as female Shepard. Because, for me it feels like playing as man in female body. Even Jennifer Hale's voice acting sounds... pretty masculine.

I'd love to see them have separate animations for the female Shepard.

It really annoys me that she walks and runs like a Russian shot-putter. It's why I can't wear the casual outfit you get from Kasumi's mission, it just makes me think of a dude in drag.

Why shoot you. I give you hug or a high five, depends which you prefer.

FemShep just needs some proper animation, no skirts. She´s a soldier not "some tourist on vacation".

Here is the problem with the roman debate justifying skirts: We have not seen any other soldiers, mercs, or cerberus agents who wear skirts.

It destroys the artistic direction of the game.
End of story.

More cosmetic and customizable options are okay in my book, but like what was discussed before, I would trade everything we have now (make up etc.) for higher quality facial features and skin textures. There is really only one viable mouth and one pair of eyes that I can personally stand for femshep. :/

EDIT: Also, the people who are simply demanding "NO" because they don't want her to be that feminine are wrong. As a developer, you don't focus the content for one specific audience. Some girls want their shep girly, some want their shep more tomboyish. That's how it is. They could solve it if there was more variety.

Tough =/= manly. I'm personally happy that FemShep is kind of unique in comparison to 90% of video game female protagonists.
