I know that the fenris mech will be returning as a robotic dog on your ship if you get the collector's edition but will the Ymir, loki, and fenris mechs return as enemies/allies. I hope I can take on a Ymir while I am inside an Atlas, while fighting a geth prime.

I'd prefer new mechs to replace them... tired of killing Ymirs, lokis and Fenris mechs so blasted much in ME2... I'd be far happier with new mechs... or at least considerably modify the old ones so they fight differently and look somewhat different too.

I would assume they will be in it.

They won't be there, cause they don't fit in the story. The only sentient biological resistance you will encounter throughout the game is Cerberus, and they already have Atlas and some other mechs. Mercs and other enemies will definitely have better things to do than fight Shepard. And vice-versa.

Loki mech for squadmate and LI in Mass Effect 3.

Edit: Bogsnot1 pretty much beat me to it.

Well considering the main mech plant got locked down by an AI virus, and possibly blown up by Shepard, I don't expect Hahne Kedar's mechs to be so common in ME3.

I would like to see some mechs on the Normandy, as guards or as personal assistants for Mordin or anybody else

I think they will at least be back as enemies

I hope. I liked fighting them. Also, ModestmeNTaLmogul, I'm loving your profile photo.

OMG, I've meant exactly what I've wrote. Who has been using the majority of the mechs in ME2, besides mercs?

You don't fight Cerberus in ME2, but judging from the opening, they do mechs extensively. So it's not out of the question.

I think this YMIR, LOKI and FENRIS will be in ME3 on the same rule as geth in ME2, I mean they will appear in some side quests as they are security mechs.

I'm hoping that the humanoid mechs take a backseat in ME3. The Loki and Ymir were kinda silly imo. Tank treads would be far more efficient.

Edit: Meet your doom

Not as a major enemy. Bearing in mind Cerberus's quite extensive use of security mechs, as seen in the intro of ME2, you'd imagine that they'd make use of them against Shepard, probably not as an offensive force but defending one of their bases or something. They could pop up elsewhere, too.

I enjoyed fighting heavy mechs especially in ME2, they were some of the only points in the game where you actually felt vulnerable and on the defensive as a player.

I hope they do something new to be honest. The YMIR mech was WAY overused in ME2. Every second level had them as the final boss. Too much cutting and pasting.

I was pretty bummed on that one exploration mission where you have to use the YMIR to blast your way to the resources; I really wanted to take it with me afterwards, lol.

Hopefully they'll all be back.

A smaller version of the Atlas that can act on its own would be nice.

Can we get some mechs designed by someone who isn't brain dead?

Why would you put a giant glass canopy on a mech right where the operator is?

Gee I wonder where to shoot...

It can't be because the operator can see. Modern tanks, armored personnel carriers, and armored fighting vehicles just use cameras to pipe in video of the battlefield. Some have some slits that open and close as a back-up, but they don't have large glass canopies since it's a structural weakness and it will make their vehicle a deathtrap.

They just wanted a "cool" demo where Shepard dragged out the operator of a mech, instead of designing something that made sense.
