Can we get some mechs designed by someone who isn't brain dead?

Why would you put a giant glass canopy on a mech right where the operator is?

Gee I wonder where to shoot...

It can't be because the operator can see. Modern tanks, armored personnel carriers, and armored fighting vehicles just use cameras to pipe in video of the battlefield. Some have some slits that open and close as a back-up, but they don't have large glass canopies since it's a structural weakness and it will make their vehicle a deathtrap.

They just wanted a "cool" demo where Shepard dragged out the operator of a mech, instead of designing something that made sense.

I like this post.

Maybe the whole point of Atlas is that Shepard takes out the pilot to take control of the mech. And I don't mean the devs' intention, too. I mean Cerberus'. One can dream.

Anyway, I really liked Ymir. It's an awesome enemy, killed me a lot. I love it how it blasts away my wooden covers. Or approaches me, while I'm crouching behind a low cover, and fires at my head. Never get tired of blasting one. My eternal nemesis.

I would love some friendly mechs, why is only the enemy getting cool toys?
