Gameplay mechanics =/= lore. Just like Jack pwning 3 YMIRs or Samara pulling a skycar. Looks cool and it's probably what they can actually do, but to implement it in the gameplay would be broken and make the game unchallenging.

Shepard vs Kai Leng
Wrex vs Aria
Ashley vs Miranda

probably the best three fights in the ME universe (for those who don't know about aria go talk to wrex in ME1 then after Aria gives you the co-ordinates for the crates being gaurded by 3 YMIR ask her about her past).

There is no confirmation that it was Wrex that Aria fought.
She fought a Krogan. But it seems every Asari commando has too.
Just look at the bartender in Ilium. Her mom fought a krogan.

The thing about my list is that it is based upon open one on one combat scenarios that are clearly defined and executed. Thane could probably fairly easily kill Saren given the contract. However, that isn't a test of skill, but of intuition, infiltration, planning, etc etc. 

Put them in an arena, 100 meters long, with cover, trenches, and open areas, and I anticipated that Saren would kill Thane 7 to 8/10 times. Not great odds, I know for either of them, I know, but it's just an example of how they would fair against each other openly. 

So yes, Thane could kill anyone on that list. Anyone on that list could kill anyone. We're talking about the most dangerous people in the galaxy here. Even the best (Saren) is going to lose to the worst-of-the-best,sometimes.

Thane is considered the greatest assasin potentially in the ME world lol...even the shadow broker had files on him that had step by step ways to kill each and every race lol.  Also I would still pick Shepard as #1 on that list considering what he has done lol.

And the funny thing is that in some playthroughs he does demolish the three people listed as being more badass than him. Zaeed can be left behind to burn to death by Shepard on his loyalty mission, Wrex can be killed by Shepard on Virmire, and Saren obviously can be killed by Shepard at the end of Mass Effect 1. I don't understand how they could be more dangerous than Shepard when killed by Shepard.

So you're just going to assume i'm a Wrex fanboy ?  , anyways Shep is Good, but not a god & if for the fact that he wasn't the protagonist he wouldn't be in the same league as some of the characters in the mass effect universe.

Eh, my Shepard has had plenty of fights where the teammates were dead, hell, in arrival you pretty much survive a constant onslaught of an ymir mech & random gunning people on your own until a reaper decides to go knockout blast on you.

On the Thane thing, iirc, the files on him that list all those ways to kill any organic, also include direct confrontation without 'sneaky sneaky' stuff, thus yes, thane probably should be higher on the list.

Biggest question is on top of the foodchain: Fem Shep or Male Shep...

watch Wrex talking about a job then Aria talking about her past and tell me if you think that isn't confirmation. and Aethyta's (sp) mom married a krogan not just fought one. and a lot of Asari Commandos would have fought Krogan seeing as how Im sure a lot of those commandos fought in the Krogan Rebellion.

In ME 1 all I had to do to take Saren down was have my Bastion hit him with Stasis, then use master marksman...dead and dead...no assistance needed (on a side note, how is it not easy to be overpowered (read god mode here) as Shepard in either game).

Secondly, to make a statement based on the "if" of Shepard wasn't the protagonist, is just silly. No Shepard = No ME. How can he be the protagonist of the universe and not be the most bad ****? I think to many people are fogetting about Shepard's background - regardless of the choice that you make in ME 1, Shepard is "THE" bad ****.

the Object Rho room fight in Arrival proves that Shepard is more powerfull than any other spectre (if you win on insanity ofc)...in ME1 Jenkins tell Dr. Chakwas that a spectre worth 20 normal soldiers ...well at the end of ME2 Shepard kills in close quarters around 40 trained aliance soldiers and a hevy mech ...= best spectre in the galaxy

Wrex took down a thresher maw and is one of the few krogan biotics. I'm sure he is the strongest of the Krogan Race.

Actually you're wrong. The EU are the only things that are canon since the events of the games are open to personal preference. And Karpyshyn and Walters said so.
