My canon femShep is with Liara. After finding out that Tali was a romance in ME2, I created a maleShep in ME with no LI, so I could romance her in ME2 without issues. That being said. I have three Sheps with Liara and only one with Tali.

Liara's romance is objectively the the best. Hell, a Liara friendship is better than all the other romances.

Tali romance = I want to f*ck you, Shepard. I want your body on mine. That is all this courtship is about. Straight to business. Sexytime. God forbid we have a relationship or be intimate with one another without sexual intercourse. In retrospect I find it very shallow.

For ME1 you should save the second upper left "I want to talk..." conversation til later in the game. She has enough supplimental dialog that periodically comes up that you don't need to rush the main conversation path. The first time I played she scared me off too and I turned her down because we had just met and she's already fallen for me. But later on after more conversations I liked her character, but it's too late to romance her after you actually get to know her because you're forced to chose the romance after a single conversation IF you continue her main dialog path early (when a person who doesn't know what to expect would).

That is exactly how my main playthroughs have gone.

I have 10 ready for ME3.  I've removed some to a flash drive that I might import over which is another nine files.  Think I play too much?   Is that even possible?
