Liara for me. My default Soldier Shepard stayed loyal to her, as I felt the sacrifices she made to bring Shepard back deserved a lovely reward.
I tried the Tali romance, and wasn't impressed. Nothing against Tali as a character, but I'd prefer she and Shep stay friends.

Both characters are in ME3 as squadmembers and major characters. Why would anyone fight about it anymore?

ME1 Romanc'd Shep + ME2 Romanc'd Shep = ME3 Shep watches previous romances get it on out of spite and sexyness that leaves him/her emasculated/depressed.

They're both so awesome ion their own unique ways, I think my decision would be to stick with whoever I romanced the first time. So if my character romanced Liara, she will stay with Liara, likewise Tali. You could, of course, make an argument that Liara and Tali would be two of the most likely characters to be willing to 'share' Shepard, JE style, then the problem would be solved

I agree. I think what we need here is the moderate approach. I am the kind of person who wants to see what the game has to offer, so one of my Sheps dates Liarra, the other dates Tali, the next Jack, Miranda - so on and so forth.
Sometimes arguments like favorite squadmate or LI descend into something along that lines of "Whats is your favorite color?" There is no wrong answer!
