I do not think she will be on your squad, maybe you'll meet her, but she will probably not be on our squad because there is a next novel coming up with Gillian as main-protagonist..

Gillian will be 16. She turned 13 in ME:Ascension and the book happen 3 year before ME3.

Squadmate, no chance in hell. Cameo/Easter Egg, very probable for her and Shepard to cross paths if both are looking for TIM. But like I said before, I only support if Summer Glau does her voice acting.

there was this rumour that there will be a vigilante of sorts... it kind of fits her... surely there will not be another Samara like character...   n she is looking for TIM... defintely someone who sees himself above any law...

She is a perm squad mate.  This has already been confirmed.  I have a theory to why.  If you read the report after the Shadow Broker, TIM knows Liara is the new Shadow Broker, and he is also keeping an eye on Liara's relationship with Shepard.  Which does ticke me off.  That is none of D-bag's business who Shepard's friend/LI is.  Which makes me think that since Cerberus is after Shepard, they will also go after the base at Hagalaz.

but as the SB, she have access to many info... it wouldn't make sense for Shepard to still ask around for info when he has a walking broker beside him... it would take the RPG elements away...

Imagine.. 

Shepard>> I need to find XXX
Liara>> We can just go to my computer and I would plant a false info and the person would be dead in 10 minutes...

Bud...it's confirmed. It's going to happen. There's no argument against it. lol

Yeah, they seem to not want to mix the book characters directly with the story (minus Anderson). Game Informer released James Vega as James Sanders and then it was quickly changed. So it seems like they're trying to avoid direct connections as much as possible.

but TIM first appears in the Ascension/comics b4 he was introduced in ME2

Kai Leng will be in ME3. Since he was the one who killed Paul Grayson, I could see Gillian being a temporary squadmate.

yeah, unless something major happened in Deception (e.g. Gillian dead), she is likely to continue her revenge

They added Kai Leng from the books and I'm sure Aria will also be affected by the books. Adding Gillian could work and starting the Quarian mission via kahlee sanders and then Gillian could work because Tali could be death and this would give a somewhat neutral approach towards the admiral board who will be opinionated (war-peace option).

Also summer glau would be a good voice actor I think, mainly because of her experience playing a character with autism (in fact that sums up all of her mayor roles).
I also think they designers could have some fun with revealing the quarians face because she most likely will be dressed like one.
