I am speculating that in Mass Effect 3, Cerberus will use their omega-enkaphalin drug (which is mentioned in the Shadow Broker dossier). A dose of omega-enkaphalin is enough to temporarily weaken biotic abilities, so I imagine that if Cerberus successfully utilised it, they could put characters who rely strongly on biotics (like Jack, Liara, Aria, Samara, and Gillian Grayson) completely at their mercy.

As well as being important to the story, it could also occasionally be used as a gameplay mechanic- If a biotic Shepard for example is hit by a dart containing the drug, it may briefly weaken his/her or his/her squadmates' biotic powers.

I doubt it considering how the cerberus story has progressed I doubt they will be using weapons to disable biotics in my opinion.

**SPOILERS**
If anything they will be using the technology of the collectors one way or another or even some technology the reapers did not give the collectors considering cerberus are work for them now

Knowing Cerberus, it's going to backfire on them horribly. I do find it hilarious that 40% of the ME3 enemies work for an organization that can basically do nothing right :)

who is this gillian and grayson person people keep mentioning? are these some non-canon characters not part of the game series? sounds like it.

Cerberus' secret weapon is an entire squad made solely of Shepards of every class.

She is in the ME book "Ascension" and she is an autistic young girl who is a biotic, and is so powerful, she could easily be better than Jack, and has caught the Collector's and Reaper's attention as an integral part of the Human Reaper project.

That is the weapon that destroyed a Reaper 37 million years ago in one hit, mentioned in ME2 during the direlect Reaper mission.

5 cloned Shepards of every class vs the true Shepard...sounds like the greatest ME boss fight never made.

You do realize most of these people have guns right? Shepard and his squad can do just fine with guns.

they will put up the super duper wepon on the space station near the wired star and put engins on it.

DEATH STATION! DEATH RAY! SUPER DEATH STAR!

and then there will be a mission to take it out or to take it over and blow up reapers!

You silly people.

It's the ninja. Female ninja, of course. The male ones become increasingly incompetent the more of them there are.

They're from the crap books BW has put out. I couldn't tolerate the horrendous writing of them.  As far as I know none have ever been in the games, so they don't matter to me.

Agreed, saying 'completely at their mercy' is absurd. A vanguard Shepard can still whoop some ass with his barefists not to mention with his guns, and the others you mentioned are equally proficent with weaponary.  No one soley relies upon their biotics.\\

I seriously doubt Bioware will make it so that Cerberus uses biotic weakening weapons, considering that it is said that 40% of enemies in the game would be Cerberus. It would seriously gimp those classes and players with biotics.

Cerberus doesn't need a secret weapon to neutralize biotics. Gun fire is ultimate biotic killer.

Equally proficient with weaponry? Liara is a scientist and Jack is an untrained former criminal. Biotics comprise of 95% of their powers, without them they are really nothing special, especially against highly skilled operatives like Kai Leng.

They don't have to use it all the time. Maybe occasionally having mini-bosses that fire a few darts at Shepard and co. But my main point was how it could be relevant to the story.
