Well to start off I am a male and i am straight but this isnt about causing a controversy. Playin mass effect 1 and 2 i personally think even though the characters themselves never said whether they where gay or not, some of them should stay in there respective roles. for an example garrus and tali should not be able to be romanced by same sex teammates, but characters like jacob, miranda, jack should be able to mainly because there are scenes where jack looked like she was interested in my female shepard, same goes for other crewmates. and if i recall correctly  they said they were adding more crewmates and or cameo teammates to be romanced i have to relook that up so i can give a better qoute.

With that being said I think that the relationships will not only be believable but more true to the game it self. To me having every character able to be romanced by the same sex seems a little fake just mainly because characters that were straight in the first two games are suddenly gender nuetral when it comes to romances. Not to upset those people that our gay or bisexual, but a universe that is more realistic as in terms of relationship wise is better than just having a clean slate for every crewmember, but of course thats just my oppinon. Dont get me wrong i think it woud be funny to romance tali as female shepard or even make grunt be with male shepard, but like i said it the title some characters should be left out. well comment with your thoughts and lets have a awesome discussion and please NO BASHING OTHERS ON THEIR VIEWS PEOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!Image IPB

Why not Tali? She said to my femshep she would be honored to link suits with me. How more homoerotic can you get?

*usual stuff about this thread has been done before*

Firstly thanks for your opinion.

I don't think anyone is arguing for every character to be bisexual. That would be unrealistic, and quite frankly I don't think Bioware is going to do it.

The most important thing is how well the romances are written. No character has ever stated their sexuality in stone, it's been two or three years since many characters in the universe last saw Shepard properly, and it's not beyond the ability of Bioware's writers to craft something both believable and consistent with what we've seen before.

Linking suits is for family and friends too. Not just lovers.

I wish that were true, however it is not. A few here are very adamant that every char in Bioware games should be gay or Bi. And they really know how to push.  For many, it's a HUGE turn off. At times I feel even myself irratated over it.
Bioware gives opptions to those that wish to take this path, which is more than others will do.  To have every char gay or bi is VERY unrealistic.
Thank you Pinecone for lending an intelligent voice.
