Come on, BioWare.

You know you want to include one, even if he/she is just temporary.

Amused: Mobility would be too limited to make a decent squadmate from Elcor

As a squaddie? No. As a crew member? Why the hell not.

The NORMANDYA is attacked and about to explode.

Liara: Shepard get to the escape pop!

Shep: Not until everyone is safe I've got to save Tosh the Elcor!

Tosh: Melancholy: Is it worth moving? Death is inevitable

*NORMANDYA explodes*

A thousand YESes for every no.

An elcor in a mechanized suit to move as fast a Krogan (who, anybody who played ME1 hardcore/insane will remember, were pretty goddam fast) or, I dunno, an engineer or biotic or something (god, imagine the mass THOSE guys could affect).

"With scarcely contained bloodlust: now, human, you should consider reflecting on a basic question: do I feel lucky?

Impatient emphasis: do you, punk?"

Hopefully: Bleetman is right - in-universe Elcor fight in wars, so Bioware doesn't really have any reason not to have one as a squaddie. Plus, they can make them fast as they want since the Talimance showed us they have no fear of retconning an alien's biology.

Trepidation: Wait... speaking of Talimance...

Barely Constrained Horror: does this mean the relationship thread people will want an Elcormance next?

As long as he takes it slow and easy everything will be quite alright ;)

I doubt they'll do it, but I really hope they'll flesh out the "comic relief" races a bit. It would be interesting to get a bit more depth instead of the usual 'elcor are slow and have quirky speech, volus are mercantile cowards' stuff.

Suddenly I envision the crew in a giant cup of mountain dew and an elcor eyeing it mistrustfully. :D

I vow to somewhere, sometime, exclaim YES as authoritatively as I can without embarrassing myself in public once for every time somebody in this topic gives something resembling a Sten No.

An Elcor squaddie would be great, and I have no idea why people are so against the concept. They way they fight?

They strap a goddamn cannon on their back and become weapon platforms. It would also give us a chance to explore Elcor lifestyle more closely... Elcor can only speak to other species through translator since other species cannot perceive their sent or slight moments.

As such this leads to an interesting dilemma... How do we know if what the Elcor is saying to us... Is actually what he is saying? One Elcor in ME2 HACKED his translator to only translate what he says into polite phrases.

Guys, you can mount a cannon on an elcor. Tell me that wouldn't be a huge advantage.

Though, ME1 did mention that they conducted war through VIs.
