I just remembered this game, Halley Wars, for the Game Gear.
This part one is about as far as I ever got. Man, I sucked.

I probably played pac-man or pong before 6 years old but this is the first game I remember. I was 6 years old when I played this on the PC in 1989 and this made me love video games.

Having been born in 1992, I think I actually probably first played a computer or video game of some sort before I can actually remember doing so. The first game I can distinctly remember playing, however, would be SimCity 2000.

I'm quite fuzzy when it comes my first game. It was either Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, or Mortal Kombat. I do remember my 1st 3D game however. 'Twas Tekken.

I don't remember the first game I ever played, but it was on the Spectrum ZX most likely, or Space Invaders at a pub, one of the two. If the former, then the actual game may have Jet Set Willy or Daly Thompson's Daily Marathon, since I remember playing both of those games a lot, the latter because most of the family played that, which is when the spectrum would most likely get taken out.

That is so freakin' cool. First I finished as Samus, then Ryu, then Simon. I had a nostalgia explosion.

I remember playing an Atari at a friend's house and not long after the Nintendo Entertainment System came out in the U.S. I remember playing Pitfall, Pong and Pacman on the Atari and thinking it was magic since I only saw games before that in pizza places. Duck Hunt, Super Mario Brothers, Hogan's Alley, Urban Champion...all the old NES games followed. My brother and I played some terrible games but to us it was amazing, good times...good times.
Then came the classics like Castlevania, Mega Man, Contra, Ninja Gaiden with it's cinematics and Metroid with it's atmosphere. It was then that I think I first realized the existance of standards.
