I never once played renegade and i decided to this time. Im wondering what class to be my main file i use is engineer and im paragon since my shepeard tries to avoid combat as much as possible so im wondering what class i should use if i take care my problems head on and without reason.
Im thinking vanguard or soldier and i plan to play class i choose in me1 and me2.
What class for renegade?

Well I agree wtih vanguard or soldier for that approach. Vanguard ine ME2 is particularly suited for being brutal and no-nonsense. Both classes are great in both games.

Vanguard or Infiltrator IMO. Vanguard for obvious charge shotgun reasons, and something about the sneaky snipey Infiltrator always jives well with my renegades.

Infiltrators are good with shotguns too. There is video on youtube demonstrating.

They are indeed. I didn't suggest them because of the "head on" part. That just screams vanguard.
But fighting dirty with Cloak and shotguns sounds quite "renegade" to me as well.

I wonder how well a sucker punching Infiltrator will work.

Any class can be seen as renegade if you put thought behind it. My renegade is an engineer who lets his lackeys take the most hits, while he plays around with the battlefield like it's his sandbox.

Vanguard is the funnest class in ME2 hands down. Nothing like teleporting into an enemy right past his rocket, putting a shotgun into his face and shooting it. Then punching them.

For renegade? Vanguard would be better for the whole jumping down your throat thing. Personally my canon Shep is a Paragon Vanguard.
Soldier is also a good bet, pick up the LMG and let it rip and as IGN put it, being in a Michael Bay movie XD.
Adept could also be considered as I know a few friends who enjoy using Biotics to absolutely destroy the opponents

Well, I have a Full Renegade Soldier male, a full Paragon Engineer female, an indifferent (though Anti-Cerberus (Akuze)) Vanguard male, a mixed Infiltrator female, a mixed/Pro-Cerberus Sentinel male and a Paragade (Renegade talking, Paragon Actions) Adept female.
It is worth noting that those characters with no clear alignment (so everyone except Renegade/Paragon/Paragade) do NOT pick respective dialogue options, just normal, intermediate options with whatever comes along (giving the evidence to the Admiralty Board FTW! Hopefully I get something neat in ME3 for that).
Full Renegade is not evil however, it is getting the job done no matter what, so every class fits it if the player chooses to play as such.

Infiltrator is kind of a dirty job. It involves going behind enemy lines and fighting dirty to win. Perfect for a Renegade.

If your character is actually evil that implies selfishness and self-preservation and gain above all else. So infiltrator seems best suited. Sniping from a distance keeps you the safest and ensures you are last to see danger and likely to make it out alive.
If you are playing more of a Worf (startrek) get-the-job-done but still be a good guy, then Vanguard is best.

Infiltrators are also very independent, having a variety of abilities that make them somewhat less reliant on squadmates (this is most evident in ME1). Independence is kind of a Renegade virtue as well, so...
