I thought I would check in here before I do any of this myself in a redundant bit of work.
Some of you recall my thread about accelerated module ideas; some of you have read my blog (or can below) regarding my 1 month episode module.
So I have decided to include an overland map with skills, basically they will be simplified. A place will be discovered based on a skill check when entering a trigger. Simple example, you enter a trigger, if your search and spot are too low it gives you a message that you heard something but that's it. If you pass, the placeable pops up nearby and now its on the map for you to click to enter. This is very similar to soz I'm sure so I am looking for any tips as to which scripts might already do this, or any you have done. Since mine is fairly simplistic I could also just do it myself if its quicker than familiarizing myself with other scripts. But do let me know, if you know.
Secondly if any one has any ideas for soz style miniature dungeons that could populate a snow mountain area and give challenges from level 3 to 5 let me know. Puzzle ideas or riddle challenges included, or just a good small setting idea that would work. Bonus if you have an area you think can be stuck in the module, even if some minor snow theme rework is required.
Please let me know what you think.

The SOZ overland map uses heartbeat scripts with an accelerate HB and checks a radius around peaceable and runs the check is the PC is within that radius.
It has been while since I looked at it. But the wandering monsters and random loot are based on 2das and terrain triggers.

I know there were some major omissions to this tutorial for wandering monsters and possibly a few other things. The old, now gone, forum had the missing items. I haven't checked if that post was brought over here.

Ok maybe I'll just use my own script because its just a handful of areas (its an episode module, not much room for randomness in such a short time).
I can roll with that snowy area, looks like it would be up very high so I will keep that in mind as I work on it.

For a more complete Overland Map tutorial, head over to the Citadel. It was saved over there too.

I have a snowy mountain area prefab on the vault that has a frozen cave attached. Good for lower level yeti bashing if you're in to that sort of thing.
