So its are fault bioware made it so we could not contact them>?ladyvader wrote...
No, it was like her. Same with Kaidan. Both heard just rumors and I don't blame either of them for what happened on Horizon. Shepard didn't contact them. Liara already knew Shepard was with Cerberus, so no issues there. Garrus and Tali you picked up alone the way and they were surprised to see you, but didn't freak out about it.

You could say that. Anderson knew Shepard was alive and even he didn't confirm it to the VS. Not until after Horizon anyway.xnoxiousx wrote...

it was just excuted poorly by bioware.
this is just my perspective.

I will agree with that. If one thinks about it, it's sorta of a surprise that the VS didn't get picked up by the collectors. Someone wrote a fanfic about that and what was written made sense too.ashlover mark 2 wrote...
it was done in order to isolate shep from a good friend or a LI to cause conflict in the relationship.also keep VS out of the SM so they could return full time in ME3.

Sudden unexpected meeting.
Shepard is now working with Cerberus of all organizations.
Shes' a pretty loyal human and loyal to the alliance.

"You're an alliance soldier, and also kinda a ******. How come the Collecters didn't take you?"

But it did annoy me how she reacted to me being back from the dead.
and how she talked felt like she moved on (in reality she did not) and hated what you have became even when you have not changed at all just that you are back from the dead thanks to cerberus.
To be honest the Tali reaction felt more real than the Ash/Kaidan reaction considering she did not believe it was really you at 1st and said she glad to see you again.
But it did sour my liking to Ashley which that did actually trigger me to go for Miranda instead considering I was quite enjoying the character as it was at the start.
but was going to stay loyal considering I really did the character but now I think she is a good character thats it.
I do think though Bioware did this on purpose because they wanted us to consider other romances instead of all of us staying loyal because all the ME1 romances have changed whether they are displeased finding you are working with cerberus but glad to see you alive or just happy to see you again but has became cold in the process of saving you.
I do think if Ashley did not use the angry stick at Shepard I would be more likely to have stayed loyal to her and i sure others were the same as me on that one.

I lost respect for the writers. That wasn't Ashley from ME1.
You mean the one who expresses visceral disgust at Cerberus during those missions in ME1? That Ashley?

Seriously, I'll probably take the two of them for most of the game how ever BW as defined "most."
(Note: I didn't hate Ash in either game, but her attitude in ME2 certainly lowered the "like" meter)

Think about it from her point of view - you suddenly find out a commander and/or former lover is back from the dead, has hidden his/her return from you, and is now working for what is essentially an evil terrorist organization along the lines of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. You'd be pretty pissed, too.
that is true you would be displeased but you considering she said 'I loved you'
does seem to say she still has feelings for you which would make her react angry at 1st but would be glad to see that you are alive. (and the message does not count)

I would have expected saving the citadel together might gain a bit of trust with her.
I really don't see how they're related, you weren't teaming up with Cerberus then to take down Saren and save the Citadel.
These "OMG THE VIRMIRE SURVIVOR WAS MEAN TO ME" arguments remind me of the hand-wringing over Alistair getting angry at the Landsmeet if you agree to spare Loghain.
But then, I enjoy it when my companions have a thought process independent of and in conflict with the protagonist. I was shocked upon coming to the BSN and discovering my opinion on the matter was in the minority.

Part of the problem was the dialog options. I never felt like I got a chance to explain myself to her...because I didn't. She just stormed off like an angry child apparantly content to not even hear me out. The whole scenario was unconvincing to me.
Edit- and this is one of the few times I've even discussed this topic, excuse me for being critical.

Hint Hint: The writers created said character, their writing *IS* the character. If it hurts you so much, just pretend there's a different Canon through fanfic, but saying "bad writing" is about as sensical as saying "Ah, yes, Reapers..."
