You think I'm worried about catching crabs in a video game? rofl.

No, the idea of Isabela's nether regions festering with something at one point in the game is what turns me off. I don't know why you're having difficulties comprehending this.

She gets them treated and cured before she has the chance to spread it, I'm not sure what the problem is here.

Here, just for you. :)

Eh I felt the same way the first time I saw that scene in Act 2 where Isabella was getting treated. It took several playthroughs (partial and complete) before I warmed up to the idea of seeing hers through to the end. She's still a great character but I know I feel like they over did not her sexuality or openness, but the constant reminder of it with her. Yes, I get it, she's loose and sleeps with lots of people. She'll even brag about her conquests and flirt with others in front of Hawke. It was a little over done.

I liked most of the characters but DA2 really seemed to push everything to the extremes. Merrill was too cutesy, Fenris too broody, Anders too much of a pain in butt, and Isabella too much of a ****. It's a pity because there is some good writing and story telling there. We just don't have to be reminded every 5 minutes that Isabella sleeps around a lot or that Merrill is clumsy. We get it. Move on with the story or give the characters more depth in other ways.

Don't get me wrong, there're plenty of other things to love about Isabella and her story, as well as the possible romance with Hawke, but I can easily understand why someone like Por Favor would be turned off by that presentation.

I think that Isabela's dialogue is rife with sexual commentary not only because she is a sexual being (shock of shock, a woman as well) but because it's her own flaunting of her character. She has had some lovers, sure, but she states at one point "not as many as you would think" but clearly enough for people to talk. Rather than deny or defend herself, she lets the talk happen, embraces the rumors and the vitriol, the snide remarks of passerby at the docks. It's very much in line with her "they don't know me" chat with Aveline. But it's all done somewhat flamboyantly to give players a whole "don't judge a book by the cover" view - she is so much more than what is said about her, she is more than the notches (fewer than we assume) on her bedpost.

@Por favor, being in an argument/discussion is one thing, but getting personal, is a lame way to get your argument across....

Just don't want to get this thread locked:police:

You are acting out to a couple of posters here. Just let it go and let's all move on.

I just wanted to know something about Fenris: In the first act I believe, when you visit Fenris, he's drinking a bottle of wine and throws it to the wall (you know that scene).

Is it possible to kiss/go to bed with him at that time or is it the standard answer he gives me: "not now, perhaps later" kind of answer?

All sexy times that aren't at the Blooming Rose (or a threesome with Isabela and Zevran) occur at Hawke's estate.

Don't you get implied sexy times with Isabela at the Hanged Man after giving her one of her gifts?

Don't know about Isabella, but you really need to do Fenris first, then Isa, and then Anders. It's the only way to get all three. However, I've seen Youtubes of the Anders breakup after fun times and it really is kind of harsh. If that's your Hawke, go for it.

Breaking up with either of the commitment-loving NPCs is harsh. One playthrough, I wanted to run a really unethical PC, so he had the one-night stand with Fenris, did Isabela, used and discarded Merrill, and then moved on to rivalmance Anders. For science, you know. Man, I did not enjoy dumping Merrill. Not one bit.

Wow! You are brave berelinde. Hats off. I' too much of a softie to actually go that route.

I am planning a crazy mage run through though. Anders blows up the chantry, she'll want to burn down Kirkwall. (Muahahahaha!) Think bigger Janders, bigger!

(Slyly stepping in to answer this...)

If you select the romance dialogue option after giving her the talisman, yes, there is some implication of sexy times. Hawke and Isabela walk off in the direction of the rooms before the scene ends. Now, they could just be going off to look over some etchings or something similar, but given that the dialogue includes the word "lust", I would venture to say there is little doubt.

It is heavily implied, but not overt like the other instances. It's ambiguous enough that one could choose to take it as merely heavily flirtatious behavior and a promise for later.

That said, I am a heavy proponent of Isabela and Hawke knocking boots quite often. :P
