I've seen numerous posts relating to this topic after other fans have installed the free download for ME2 and run into problems getting the game to run.
First I had a problem of it only installing to 99% and than stopping through EA dowloader.
I finally got it installed after 3 attempts.
Now I have the problem when I start the game of awc.dll downloader fail appears and the game will not run.
Just recently I went to Adobe website and downloaded and installed the latest version of Adobe Air.
I'm running Windows XP sp3 on a 32 bit unit. I've installed the game fresh and than went to the website and downloaded the most recent patches to the game.
I'd like to not have to reinstall for the 4th time, as on satelite the game download eats up alot of my alotted download each month and than I have to wait before the 30 day and Fair Access Policy can make my upload and download reasonable again.
If anyone has additional suggestions I'm all ears.....

I just ran into this issue over the last two days (anyone getting ME2 from Origin knows its taking forever). However, I read in one of the posts about locating the BINARIES folder (where the game is installed, not under My Documents) and deleting the text inside the EACore_App.ini. Of course make a backup of this before proceeding. It worked like a charm for me. I opened the EACore_App.ini with Notepad, highlighted the text, hit DEL and saved the file. Reopened ME2 and BAM!
