Just curious how everyone keybinds their mass effect games. (I know there are still some people out there who are the clickers. You know who you are... hitting the space bar and then clicking on the ability.) There are times when you do have to click abilites, but that's only because you only have 8 slots and you can't fit all your abilites and your two squad member abilities onto that single hotbar.
I've found that keybinds for ME1 is a little more difficult, due to the number of abilites you can potential have, compared to ME2.
But for me i use ESDF (I am a staunch supporter of ESDF over WASD).
There is a little variation in keybinds between ME1 and 2 because in 1 you had a seperate key for Medi-gel + Unity(Raise). In ME2 Medi-gel does both.
ME2 binds:
Now with ESDF you can finally bind all the important abilities to your left hand. Your hot bar should be bound: 1-2-3-4-Z-X-C-V. That gives you finger tip access to your abilities. Squad commands are: W-R (squad member 1 - squad member 2) and Q for Rally. Then I double bind Left Shift and G to be Use/sprint/cover command. (I use a 5 button mouse so reload, melee, weapon selection are done with the mouse), but if you have a two button mouse you can still use T and A for melee and reload.
With this setup i find myself spending less time pausing in the middle of firefights and combat is just a lot smoother.
What do you use?

I probably have weird keybinds.
WASD-Movement
12QEVCXZ-Quickbar
F-Melee
R-Reload
G-Form up
3-Squad 1
4-Squad 2
I know Q/E are already bound, but sometimes the squaddie bugs and does the wrong power, or you can't time it as well, IDK it just doesn't work smoothly leaving it as "Squad 1 command". Could be my imagination, but I'm use to it now.
I need to buy a new mouse, my Razer Habu broke on me a year ago, and I've been trucking along with a 10$ Wal-Mart Logitech. Sadly the 10$ mouse has lasted longer than the 60$ Razer. Going to buy a Razer Copperhead someday and hope it can redeem that crappy Habu.
On my Razer Habu, I had Squad abilities/reload bound on it.

i kept the default ones except for 1 which i remapped to a mouse button .
As a sentinel i use 1 for tech armor, and soldier now as AR .
my mouse is just a logitec M510 , but in the plans to get a Razor soon.
is here a thread around about mouse preferences and tips ? ( i know, google... ;p ) .
