For example, if you DON'T do Jack's loyalty mission, will Ahresh succeed in reopening the Teltin facility? I could see Mordin and Legion's uncompleted Loyalty missions having consequences, as well as possibly Zaeed, Samara, Miranda and Tali.

It was stated in a tweet from BioWare that the loyalty itself won't have consequences in ME3, EG a loyal garrus will behave the same way as an unloyal garrus in ME3. Though the effect of loyalty missions will have an effect in ME3, not all of them though..I can think of the following ones:

Tali, Mordin, Legion and possibly Miranda's loyalty missions are those I think could have a big effect on ME3. Obviously Legion's because of the Geth rewrite/destruction decision (as opposed to all true geth becoming heretics if you don't do the mission). Tali will certainly be exiled without Shepard standing for her. Maelon might develop a cure for the genophage and the revenge driven Wyrlock clan would take over Tuchanka and eventually the galaxy).

For Miranda, NOT doing her LM should cause Oriana to be captured by her father, whereas doing the loyalty mission will make Cerberus hide Oriana. With Cerberus being aware of her location it seems logical they might try to blackmail Miranda in ME3 by threatening to reveal Oriana's location to her father.

That's what I meant; not the loyalty, but the mission (or rather, lack there of).

I suppose by not doing Grunt's loyalty he may just go nuts and end up a member of the Blood Pack, though that's pretty minor compared to some of the rather dire consequences of not doing Legion's.

Doing the Paragon ending to Zaeed's, or not doing it at all could be bad too; without Vido's leadership the Blue Suns would probably fall apart (or maybe it will just result in a bloodhunt for Shepard for his/her role in Vido's death).

As I said, not doing Jack's could mean Ahresh succeeds in reopening Teltin.

Not doing Thane's could result in his son becomming an assassin and increasing racial tension on the Citadel.

You're right about Maelon and Clan Wyrlock, and Miranda's and Oriana.

I don't see any real long-term benefits or consequences of skipping Jacob's. So the crazies don't get rescued, not a big deal compared to thwarting a Reaper invasion.

Same with Garrus', not doing his Loyalty will have about the same effect as letting Garrus kill him - it's only if you save Sidonis does he promis to repay Garrus.

I don't have the Kasumi DLC, so I can't comment on the importance (or not) of her loyalty mission.

Ahresh is nuts.

If anything he would just get killed by those mercs for not paying them.
