Yeah, that was what I tried six posts up, but it didn't work. Sadly, this didn't work out too well either -- When I returned to Nashkel with Dynaheir in my party, Minsc does instantly join, but then when I accepted him into the party he still instantly turned. It was mildly entertaining to watch him kill a defenseless Dynaheir, but I think I'm going to try again and see what happens if I refuse to let him back in . . .
Alas, poor Minsc, I knew him well (noob question)

Now that's interesting. This time Minsc did not instantly join. But if I talk to him and let him join, I get the same result. I think I'll just stick with Dynaheir.

Weird. There's got to be a way to solve this.
BG uses a thing called "scripting variables" . Is there any chance you saved your current game after Minsc had already "declared war" or some such?
There is an advanced way to change scripting variables using a utility called "Shadowkeeper".
I really don't think that you should be having a problem like this, unless you somehow saved MInsc's timer as already run out. (Yes, he has a "timer" for this event. I think you've screwed it up somehow.)
For your future runs, I would strongly advise you to take it VERY seriously the first time an NPC "reminds" you about something. It ALWAYS means that something dire is about to happen with their program that will make them unuseable to you very, very soon - within one or two rest cycles, ususally.
