I personal think these issues are due to the firmware updates, i am having the same problems with killzone 3 which i played on release no sound problems or performance issues. After the systems has had a few firmware updates just got mass effect 2 downloaded patch to 1.03 and performance and auio glitches and skiping of scences. So i tried another game, Killzone 3 and the problems where the same. This may be why no one from bioware can say anything about the problem because its in sony programmers hands, plus with all the problems that have just happened things are going to run slow for a while. Lets hope something happens soon either patch or new firmware comes sooner rather than later. Or the trades of goods goods act might have to be quoted a few times.
Audio issues have nothing to do with firmware updates. Audio was buggy since the release of the game. If you read the threads about audio issues, you will realize that people are asking for audio fixes for almost five months!

That was my discussion with an EA support admin. So all you saying bug EA to fix the audio problems need to know that Bioware first has to acknowledge the problem and then fix it!

I don't recall the issue being there on release date (Jan 18, 2011) ver 1.00. Not saying it was not there, I just did not notice it. I listened to all the cut scenes as that is the main reason I got the game in the first place.
Also
I played the game for many hours every day , with version 1.00 I played
it over 215 hours and don't recall any audio issues with the dialog cut-scenes.
I recently started playing ME2 again (added 1.03 patch) and confirmed the dialog issue.
removed the patch and DLC and reloaded the DLC (not the patch) and noticed issues in dialog with 1.00 version.
Unknown if I should have completely remove the game installation as well or just the patch/dlc files when reverting back to 1.00. Any way the dialog was being cut while playing 1.00 version.
So it may be possible that this issue is related to PS3 Sony updates and not the game itself.
Guess I will be doing one more test with a complete delete of all files related to ME2.
