For 3 I was hoping for a return to an economy you know where you can buy and sell things. In ME we could do it and it was booming many vendors and places to shop in ME2 it nearly went away a few cubicles a few computer screens but we could only buy. So what I'd like to see in ME3 is a return to the buy and sell market place only we can buy/sell minerals, armor, clothing, weapons, mods, and ancient artifacts. We'd get more vendors some even specific to the selling of clothing only, mods only, or artifacts only. The artifacts would be used to liven up shep's living space but also ingame for prothean weapon components like say we need to build a super laser we've scavenged some worlds and prothean ruins and came up with some of the components but we still need more circulating through these artifact marts are the other pieces we need to complete this project.

Yes, I also want omnigel back so I can choose to spend a currency, rather than time to open locked crates.

I think it would be less applicable now that the Reapers are a more imminent threat. I'm sure others will argue that, but Shepard is going to need everything he/she can get.

I've been playing rpg's ever since the first Dragonquest ( Dragon Warrior in the US? ) game and the part of me that loves rpg's wants to say yes, then I remember ME1's inventory and I realise that I have never played a single western rpg that has had an inventory that I have been happy with so I'm going to have to go with NO.

Nah. Not if it means having to juggle a whole lot of inventory. While upgrades were cool I felt like I was constantly having to check all my weapons and armor, etc. It became a bit tedious. I appreciated the lack of it in ME2.

Nope. Because contrary to ME1 weapons, the one's in ME3 aren't hilariously ineffective or recolored copies of each other, and they have their own unique style. There's really no need to sell them.

I agree. It was a pain in the butt, in my opinion.

Yes, let's have more busywork and micromanagement that contributes nothing to the overall game experience.

I do not miss having to spend 5-10 minutes after each mission sorting through my entire inventory at the vendor just so I could sell the mods/armor/weapons I had no use for. I would prefer a more in depth economy in ME3, but I wouldnt be all that happy for a total return to the original ME style.

The economy was the weakest thing in both games.  In ME1 there was little point to buying stuff cause you were literally tripping over weapons/armor/upgrades.  It was ridiculous.  How'd that husk carry all these weapons/upgrades when it's totally nude...?  Guess they fell out of it's cornhole.

In ME2 it was a 'little' better.  Not much...but better.

ME3 it's frakkin' war.  We better be comissioned cows to walk ahead of us in mine fields and given Oakley sunglasses whenver we want.  Or pillage refuge camps.

Yes. I'd support a return to the economy of old (ME1). However it should be less clunky. Also I want OmniGel to unpick locks

yes i would like

ME2's stores are empty and can't buy weapons? and 2 types of pistol in total? really? at gun shops there are more... and we are in the future... it is so sad that makes me laugh.

at least i would like to see 5-8 different weapons per category.

also (like others) i would like to see the omni tools and biotic amplifiers to make a comeback, and not in a way they did in ME2, in ME1 they seemed original and especially swappable, in ME2 they were... well you know, like some old games the health, you find them and you got them updated. but i fear they will skill/power based like in ME2.

^ yes that's what I mean the stores are so empty and once you buy it you can't get rid of it. I've got tons of useless minerals on my ship I'd like to off load that and say use the money to buy guns and clothing but I can't. Also an issue with 2's markets is once you bought up the store that was it so the store had 5 things instock forever and you bought them all so now that store is forever out of stock so I'm thinking inventory should change too so half way through the game we see new items to buy that weren't available first half. And last half of the game we get more stuff.

And to say about the concern of won't they just sell in stores what I could've found anyway name a game that doesn't do that? The advantage is you can buy it w/o the hunt for the corpse, base, or mission that has it.

What makes me laugh is that you think Shepard ought to buy his own guns

but he can buy weapon, health, shield, biotic, omni tool upgrades. so is it that unbelievable, that he could buy weapons too?

I would like something of a hybrid of ME and ME2. In ME, the weapons and armors looked more like multicolored copies of each other with different specs and the inventory became a bit too large at times. What I liked about looting crates was that you encountered different stuff most of the times. In ME2, the surprise was gone, because you knew where to buy each upgrade or find them in which mission at which location. In ME3, I would like the upgrades and weapons to be different looking with different specs, but not overwhelmingly numerous like in ME and I expect to find somewhat random items (selected out of a same grand pool of items and selected randomly), so that there is something different each time I play the game.

In ME2 your weapons matter... really matter. The Claymore shotgun isn't just a numerical upgrade from the Katana; it handles entirely differently, and demands a different play style. And it's not always so cut and dry as "I got this gun last, so therefore it's better". There are those who would argue that the Shuriken is superior to the Tempest, and I think that's awesome. Experimentation and customization was quite lacking in ME1 equipment. You had instant, side-by-side comparisons which, while very helpful, pretty much guaranteed that everyone geared the same way.

Doing away with the inventory in ME2 was a bold and spicy manuever, and I think that Bioware did it very right. New weapons, armour, and upgrades all became exciting and interesting, rather than "crap, my inventory is full again, I'm full on money, and I'm full on Omni-gel".

More inventory would be welcome, as long as it's done with a similar mind towards making it matter. I'd like to more input into my squadmates' gear, for example. But I don't want to slog through endless (but tiny) inventory screens again.

So your solution to silly design is to make it even worse?

agreed, some diversity can't hurt. also would like to see if squadmembers would have more armors maybe 3 per person, and difference would reflect not only in appearance but also in functionality with upgradeable "levels" (3-5) and with mods (3-5). and changable colours. :)

That's silly RPG conventions for ya.

"Hello, sir. Oh, giant mechanical beings are attacking the city I'm inhabiting and you're going to stop them? Well, I was wondering what all that fuss was about it. It certainly explains the screaming and the smell of corpses that has come up recently.
Anyway, thank you for doing something about it. I happen to like breathing.  What was that, good sir? You need medigell to order to succeed in your mission and thus save my life in the process? It's good thing I happen to have some in stock then. That will be 1 million dollars.
No, I don't think that's stupid. Simple supply and demand. You need it and I'm the only merchant left alive. Besides, I have mouths to feed at home and business has been slow today with all that death going on around us."

In some form, yes.

Just not in either ME1 or ME2 form.

I disliked ME1's method - but I outright hated ME2's method.

Yes please, it's one of the thing a love in ME1, also why not a kiosk for mining resources good for people who don't want to probe, and those who love it can sell the extra they have.

yes, more weapons, maybe 5-8 per category, nothing more. in this way maybe inventory wouldn't be required, but there would be enough weapons to choose from + there will be mods, so diversity could be guaranteed.
