Here's a solution: Don't show her face.

I am kind of inbetween in wanting them to show her face and not. Either way the game is going to be amazing, and Tali will still be kick ass either way. But yeah I agree if the Bioware peeps are having dificulties in deciding how to go about unmasking her, how she would look under the mask, and doing so with out pissing off a lot of me fans then don't do it.

Torn on the subject myself. Think it would be cool to see her face but then I also like the mystery of what Tali and other Quarians actually look like with out the masks. Regardless of what Bioware decides will be playing the heck out of ME3 when it comes out.

I don't need to see her 'face' because I've already seen her face. She's the girl with the purple mask and the shy personality that's who she is seeing the flesh behind the mask isn't her 'face' just like the muscle beneath that or the bone beneath that.

I hope they do. No matter what she looks like it's the content of her character that has made her one of my favorite squadmates. That won't change no matter what she looks like.

I do feel sad for those who will no doubt have nearly five years of anticipation driving their judgement, because no matter what she looks like it won't match that build up.

It's like unmasking Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. Were people surprised, dissappointed, upset? Yes. But that's what he looked like under there, and that did nothing to change the impact his character had on any of the prior films.

I'd say go for it BioWare. Don't repeat the missed opportunity that you gave us in ME2.

I'm also torn. Bioware will get a lot of heat either way.

If they show her face, there will be some who will be pissed because she didn't live up to their expectations. (I can see a lot of people replaying the SM just to kill her off out of spite. Yes, I think that would be stupid, but you know it would happen.)

If they show her face, there will be people who are pissed because they wanted to leave the mystery and leave it to their own imagination.

If they don't show her face, some people will still be upset because they don't like the mystery and want everything revealed in ME3.

If they don't show her face and show another quarian's instead, the talimancers will be pissed.

I'm on the fence, myself. If they do decide to do it, I want to see more than just Tali's face though. I wouldn't mind seeing Kal'Reegar or someone else as well. Otherwise, I'm just as happy to leave it in my imagination.

After the 'reveal' in ME2, I said, out loud - 'Okay, now you're just messing with me. Come on.'

Anyway, I'm half and half. It's really a damned if they-damned if they don't sort of situation. If push came to shove, I'd say put it in, but put it very deep into her storyline - it should be something the player gets for really sticking hard to her side of things, if you get what I'm saying. Romancing her, siding with her, supporting her whenever...being Tali-focused. It shouldn't be something I just stumble on half way through.

It's alright if they don't show it to me. That's not why I like her anyway.

Also, inb4 haters....

It's not that I'm an unimaginative person, but I hate when things are left as a "mystery". To me it's like a cheap excuse to avoid doing something.
"So, we're going to be flamed, better not to show her face".
The concept of the quarians is nice...but I think the guys at Bioware cornered themselves on this matter by hiding her face in the first place, and then just teasing.

Just show her face. Do your best effort. Some people will be upset, sure, but then again, they'll get over it with time.

Don't show her face. It will ruin her character. It's Just like if 343 industries decided to show Master Cheifs face in Halo 4.

It's not like her lack of a face is the defining factor of her character.

I don't see why showing her face would "ruin" her character.
Master Chief is a different matter, besides...the novels gave us an idea of how is his appearance behind the mask.

Yeah, because Tali is the main protagonist of 4 games and she's famous in worldwide media exclusively for the faceless mask.

Whether they show her face or not, I'm looking forward to experiencing large amounts of schadenfreude.

I think this is a case of Bioware just needing to take the plunge. They risked alot with the sex scene in ME1 and frankly, despite the stupid Fox idiocy, it was well received. Tali's unmasking will be controversial, but THEY are the game creators and obviously know what they'd like Quarians to look like. It doesn't really matter to me what she's going to look like so long as I do see her face. It's been too much of a mystery NOT to wrap up in ME3, especially considering we'll be on the homeworld and for people that romanced her, it would be kind of a dirty play by Bioware xD

So I'm all for revealing her face - some people will not be pleased either way. Might as well go with the bold decision and show it :)

Tali's face reveal scene will wind up being Shepard "accidentally" walking in on her in the shower at this rate.

hmm bloody tough choice indeed, but i personally want that they could keep Tali-s face a mystery tho part of me wants to see what she looks like behind that mask.

Hey, it's their character. They can choose her to look whatever they please.

That being said, I'm fine with either decision. I just hope that if they do it, they do it with appropriate style. :)

Best solution I've seen yet. Either way whether they show her face or not there will be rage among Tali fans. Might as well let them rage by not showing her face, less work for BioWare as well:pinched:
