I'm not sure either, but I'm 99% sure it's a complement.
Both myself, and other people (GAC included) were impressed by your post. It's literally a light in the dark, only in this case it's a incredibly awesome post in a sea of mostly crap.

I have an idea: Right before you unmask Tali, the game will pause and jump to charracter creation menu and there you can create your own tali face and then return back to the game.
lol'd
I fail to see what is so funny about that idea...<_<

Whether she's attractive or not is not important. What's important is that the build up of what she looks like is sated. Every movie has that moment from Darth Vader in SW, Jason in Ft13th, the shark in Jaws, and yes even the Precursers in J&D. I say that if she is revealed, BW ignores trying to get to that middle ground where most are satisfied and go with their own rendering. If she isn't revealed in game then at least show the canon picture of her in the CE artbook.
I love her personality because Liz Stroka did a hell of a job but wanting to see who she is is more of a desire not a neccessity. Even if we retake the Quarian homeworld, I doubt if we'll see her face there.
In short, there's so much support for her revealing than there is opposition. Will it be a mistake? Maybe but it will still be a conclusion to all who affects Shep's story. After all, this game is about closure. Closing everything dealing with Shep's actions.
If they don't want to do a reveal in the game then at least show us what you thought she should look like in the artbook.

Regardless about all players know is Quarians have 2 eyes, a nose, a mouth, and head shaped fairly similar to our own. Really not a whole lot else they can screw up. It's not like any of us can complain if we find out Quarians are Green or Purple or whatever.

Ultimately I support what ever the team decides to do. I say they should do what ever they need to do because they made one hell of a universe.

Would you build a serious relationship with Tali even if for some reason she could *never* remove her suit. Ever?
If you answered yes, you don't need to see her face.

If she wasn't a romance option, I'd say don't show her face. But since she is a romance option, I feel like players who romanced her are cheated if their Shepard gets to see it but the player themselves don't.... kinda takes away from the whole RPG aspect since you're supposed to be Shepard.

As of right now:
17,793 people say YES to see her face
2,845 people say NO to see her face.
Hopefully Bioware takes this into account.

I don't get why people keep bringing up 'predator' face. What's easily established under the helm is that she's got a generally humanoid face nose and eyes in the right spots. So, no matter how alien they make it they can't go too nuts.

Wow, that is crazy. I thought the curious people were in the majority but I didn't think it was that huge.

She's probably the closest thing he has to an actual significant other. Quite sad really.

It's not crazy. It's human curiousity. I'm surprised more than 10 people actually said no. Weirdos.

That way, people can guess as to what she looks like without actually knowing what she looks like (i.e., keep the status quo). Everyone will be happy (:

That assumes that everyone who wants to see Tali's face is a Talimancer.
My canon Shep romanced Liara in ME1, Miranda in ME2, and Liara again in LotSB. I'm just curious what the Quarians look like under the helm, and I think it would be a bit silly to go the whole series without finding out. After all every character in universe knows. Only the player is being kept in the dark out of fear of generating nerd rage from those that will inevitably be disappointed.

The Quarians had a religion kind of like the way the Dwarves of Dragon Age honored their Paragons, except taken a step further by actually keeping rudimentary digital imprints of them. If the Geth were truly trying to preserve Rannoch and what was left after the war, there might be some remnants left for us to interact with, and they definitely wouldn't be wearing any suits.
Even in the case that the ancestors are all destroyed, there could still be audio/visual recordings that Legion might play back for us while we're on the planet. Or even art like paintings or sculptures left behind in the empty, quickly evacuated buildings might show us. There's plenty of opportunity for Bioware to show everyone what Quarians look like.
However, I think if they DO reveal Tali, it'll probably be a romance-only thing.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I hope we do not reveal her face.
Why not? Well, no matter what she looks like under there or how well a job the team does with the reveal, it will never live up to what I personally have in my own imagination. Don't get me wrong, I know if they choose to reveal her face, they will put a lot of time and effort into making it the moment fans have been waiting for. However, it just won't live up to what I have in my mind's eye.
Take, say, the Harry Potter films. I read the books before seeing the movies and even though I think the cast did an awesome job in the roles they were cast for, they weren't exactly what I had envisioned Dumbledore or house elves looking like, or Snape or dragons sounding like, etc. What was done was awesome work, but it was (for me) just a tiny bit wrong at the same time.
Before Tali's face is revealed there is huge speculation on what she looks like. Is she pretty or ugly, is she humanoid or more alien, nose or no nose, eye and skin color, etc. All the things fans have been guessing and speculating and fan arting for years now. Once we reveal her THAT is what Tali looks like. No more guessing or hoping or whatever. I know that if her face is revealed many people will be happy, but I know there will be those who are upset because we will have "got it wrong". We won't have gotten it wrong as we are the creators and what we say goes (yeah, I know how that sounds, but you get what I mean), but for those people we will have gotten it wrong as we won't have lived up to their vision of what she looks like.
So for me, I hope they don't reveal her face. I also get why people want to see it, but I prefer to leave it up to my imagination to determine her look. Still, I have no say in whether her face is shown or not. Casey and the team will weigh all the pros and cons and make the right choice and we'll all see whether they reveal it or not. Stay tuned.
I agree fully, Chris. Some things are just best left as a mystery and to the player's imagination. I believe quarians should be one of those things for Mass Effect.
