This seems like the best opportunity to reveal a Quarian's face, if they're going to ever do it. I'd rather them reveal her face in ME3 than some spin-off MMO 10 years from now, to me that "mystery" is just going to eventually be an annoyance.

ME2 on FaceBook asked this question as a poll recently. It only has a yes or no option, but the results are still very clear.
So far 15187 people have voted.
87.11% (13230) have voted yes.
12.89% (1957) have voted no.
Facebook Polls are not representative at all as a good deal of possible people won't register in that thing for obvious reasons.
The only less sensical poll would be asked in a "We love Tali" Fanboard.
edit://
And consider the vast amount of Facebook spammers that just participate in polls and such for no good reason other than "hey, ima totally social and have 10000+ friends, brb"
You got another poll with a sample size of 20 thousand? No? Yeah.
So you think a poll on a platform where a majority of answers is made by random people who post just because they can has any real value?
I am sorry for you.
true not every fan logs in on the bioware forum I'l guessing the vast majority of these people have played the game and their votes probably represent the average gamer better then this forum.

There are four categories of Tali Face wants:
1: The "Human-like but sufficiently alien" group.
2: The "Really Alien but still cool looking" group. Kinda like Garrus or turians in general.
3: the "Face that only someone of the same species could ever feel anything but revulsion for" group. Those that subscribe to this category usually do to "Weed out the fake Talimancers so only the true ones that like her for her personality remain".
4: The "Don't show her face at all, it should remain a mystery" group.
No matter what Bioware will do, at least one group will be dissatisfied with the results. I have a feeling #1 is the most numerous with the second group in... well, second, so it will probably be something between 1 and 2.
As for me? make it attractive version of Sil from Species.
You're wrong.Just because we are humans doesn't mean all our creations need to be humanoid, watch Terminator Salvation movie, there's all kind of robots/cyborgs..

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I hope we do not reveal her face.
Why not? Well, no matter what she looks like under there or how well a job the team does with the reveal, it will never live up to what I personally have in my own imagination. Don't get me wrong, I know if they choose to reveal her face, they will put a lot of time and effort into making it the moment fans have been waiting for. However, it just won't live up to what I have in my mind's eye.
Take, say, the Harry Potter films. I read the books before seeing the movies and even though I think the cast did an awesome job in the roles they were cast for, they weren't exactly what I had envisioned Dumbledore or house elves looking like, or Snape or dragons sounding like, etc. What was done was awesome work, but it was (for me) just a tiny bit wrong at the same time.
Before Tali's face is revealed there is huge speculation on what she looks like. Is she pretty or ugly, is she humanoid or more alien, nose or no nose, eye and skin color, etc. All the things fans have been guessing and speculating and fan arting for years now. Once we reveal her THAT is what Tali looks like. No more guessing or hoping or whatever. I know that if her face is revealed many people will be happy, but I know there will be those who are upset because we will have "got it wrong". We won't have gotten it wrong as we are the creators and what we say goes (yeah, I know how that sounds, but you get what I mean), but for those people we will have gotten it wrong as we won't have lived up to their vision of what she looks like.
So for me, I hope they don't reveal her face. I also get why people want to see it, but I prefer to leave it up to my imagination to determine her look. Still, I have no say in whether her face is shown or not. Casey and the team will weigh all the pros and cons and make the right choice and we'll all see whether they reveal it or not. Stay tuned.
Respectfully, I have to disagree.
I understand that for some people, no matter what they reveal, Tali's face won't live up to their expectation. However I feel that is just not as important.
Allow me to explain. What I think matters most in the end is the characters of the series and how we invest in them. We want to get to know these people and personalities, we want to see them grow and develop.
In Tali's case however, she's held back by her mask. I think knowing what she looks like is a big part of knowing her as a person. After all, it's already been stated that the Mass Effect team already knows what quarians would look like. So there is a definite "truth" to what Tali's face should be. In the end I want to know more about the "reality" of Tali then the "fantasy" of what she might look like. I want to know what you at bioware know already, I want to see what she officially looks like.

P.s. I really hope a lot of the actual mysteries in ME are explained in ME3. I'm super excited about getting loads of revelations about the the Reapers, what they want, where they come from, the mass effect relays, and how it all works, etc.

Yes totally agree. Bioware don't **** with that. No dirty tricks. We do not want a botched game due to such a fake reason like " we want to keep mysterie, or we'll let the imagination "AwesomeName wrote...

We need to know everything about the reapers and others things. That's what we wait since the first episode.
In addition, we have not learned so much in M2.

I think the only way a mystery within a story should be treated as such, is if it remains a mystery to the people within that universe. In the ME universe, the quarians appearance isn't a mystery to anyone - they can probably "google" it on their extranet. Some, including some asari and krogan, probably even remember in person what they looked like without the suits (I think Aethyta can?). So I don't see why Bioware should arbitrarily apply this air of mystery to a non-mystery from a metagaming stand-point. They might as well do it for every non-mystery that we haven't seen yet (e.g. female turians).
This, everyone in the Galaxy can know what Quarians look like and Shepard himself has already seen Tali's face. The player is the only one out of the loop on this. So it doesn't make much sense not to show it.

Tali tells Shepard she's going to do a lot of research on how they can safely touch, skin-to-skin. She says specifically she wants to feel Shepard's skin on hers.
So she completes her research, comes to his cabin, and tells him she's figured it out. She's willing to try, to assume the risk, and in her sweet, adorable way works herself into the moment. Shepard removes her mask, smiles tenderly, and Tali finally lets herself go and literally jumps him.
So Tali bares herself--literally--to Shepard, to savor the pleasures of the flesh...and we, playing as Shepard, don't get to see her flesh..don't get to see her skin. Shouldn't we see what Tali is almost desperate to show Shepard? What she's willing to risk her very life for? Answer: YES.
Might we be disappointed? Sure. But with all due respect to Chris Priestly and others like him, not showing Tali's face in that moment was dishonest and contrived. I don't mean to call names and insult people--that's not my intention. But I want to make clear not showing Tali's face in that moment didn't just disappoint those who want to see her unmasked--it broke faith with the story, with us as Shepard, with Tali herself.
As I said earlier in this thread, we're all in the same category: those of us who want to see Tali's face, and those like Chris Priestly, who don't. If we don't like BioWare's visualization, we'll just have to make the adjustment.

If you recall Garrus and his little incident with the Gunship, I don't remember a lot of uproar about his face having been mutilated, because he stayed in-character anyhow.
The people that die-hard want to see her face are illusioning themselves of its importance just as much as those that die-hard don't want have her revealed.
Tali's face is utterly unimportant, as is her unmasking.
In truth, if at all, people want the Quarians unmasked, not Tali specifically. So just show us some other Quarian as I have proposed countless times. That way the mystery of the Quarians is lifted, however the mystique of Tali remains open to everyone's best intention.
Those who want to see would have seen enough to make more than an educated guess, and those that don't want to see Tali specifically still retain enough imaginative leeway to their liking.
Problem solved. It is the perfect solution. Neither side gets it all, granted, however neither side loses it all, which is the most important part.

Yes.
I want to see what the Quarians race looks like, so I can be on equal footing with Asari and Krogan who have home videos of what Quarians look like outside the suits, much less any historical records.
But if I can see only one Quarian face, I want it to be Tali's. Period. Dot.

But Aquila's right. Tali wants to be free from her combination. Tali has already shown her face to shepard (we, the players, then that's stupid we can't see her ) and has already taken a step towards freedom. (Drugs for sex with shepard without dangers) It's too big.
And I still don't understand. Why be against what it is, if that's only personality that counts? Oo
You shouldt't be afraid then, if it is really the case.
So it isn't really true that you don't care of her face. I don't see the logic.
Bioware are those who created the quarians, not us. Their artistic vision on this is essential.

Two big points I must present. The first is that the appearance of the quarians has already been verbally explained. I think it was in one of the novels or something, but it was said that they look at least similar to humans. You can't see much in the way of facial features through their helmets, but again, you can clearly see two eyes, a humanoid nose, and an upper lip that looks pretty similar to humans. In all likelihood, if Bioware reveals the quarian race, they will look, at the very least, similar to humans, bowed legs, three-fingered hands and three-toed feet notwithstanding.
The description in the book was deliberately vague.
You are basically told that the Quarians have two eyes, a nose, a mouth, and similar bone structure in their face to humans which we already know because we can see that through the helmets. The only thing new was the revelation that Quarian ears are either much smaller than human ears, or internal. The phrase used to describe them was something like, "what passes for a Quarian ear."
The descriptions were deliberately vague so the artists would have a lot of room to work with.
One thing they did not do was describe the Quarians as basically human in appearance. Nothing was said of skin tone or texture, eye color, or whether or not the Quarians had hair, feathers, or were bald. If they are ever revealed they could turn out to be as alien in appearance as the Drell or as 'human' in appearance as the Asari.
Hopefully Bioware makes them as alien in appearance as the Drell. I like the Asari, but one race of space babes is enough.
One thing I think we can guarantee they wouldn't do is make the Quarians so alien in appearance that they would be repulsive, since Tali was made romanceable.

They cant hide Quarrian faces forever, especially if they plan on putting them into the large multiplayer environment that is an MMO; it'd get very ridiculous.
Heck, even if they decided to reveal what they look like later and not reveal Tali herself, fans would use what they later learn to come to a pretty accurate idea of what she looked like anyway.
People will be pissed no matter what, they're right, but keeping it a secret forever is a pretty bad solution, in my opinion.
