I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I hope we do not reveal her face.

Why not? Well, no matter what she looks like under there or how well a job the team does with the reveal, it will never live up to what I personally have in my own imagination. Don't get me wrong, I know if they choose to reveal her face, they will put a lot of time and effort into making it the moment fans have been waiting for. However, it just won't live up to what I have in my mind's eye.

Take, say, the Harry Potter films. I read the books before seeing the movies and even though I think the cast did an awesome job in the roles they were cast for, they weren't exactly what I had envisioned Dumbledore or house elves looking like, or Snape or dragons sounding like, etc. What was done was awesome work, but it was (for me) just a tiny bit wrong at the same time.

Before Tali's face is revealed there is huge speculation on what she looks like. Is she pretty or ugly, is she humanoid or more alien, nose or no nose, eye and skin color, etc. All the things fans have been guessing and speculating and fan arting for years now. Once we reveal her THAT is what Tali looks like. No more guessing or hoping or whatever. I know that if her face is revealed many people will be happy, but I know there will be those who are upset because we will have "got it wrong". We won't have gotten it wrong as we are the creators and what we say goes (yeah, I know how that sounds, but you get what I mean), but for those people we will have gotten it wrong as we won't have lived up to their vision of what she looks like.

So for me, I hope they don't reveal her face. I also get why people want to see it, but I prefer to leave it up to my imagination to determine her look. Still, I have no say in whether her face is shown or not. Casey and the team will weigh all the pros and cons and make the right choice and we'll all see whether they reveal it or not. Stay tuned. :)

8 Months later... my, how right you were Chris.

Right about what? The hard work (photoshop an image) that their "ARTISTIC" team did to make Tali's image?

That's what I was thinking Karimloo

I was actually quite disapointed with it, because twice has she taken the damn mask of her face and we still got that wierd "avoid the face" camera shot like in mass effect 2. It really looked like when you watch a movie with partial nudity and you see how hard they are trying to avoid a certain spot on the human body with the camera.
They way the face was delivered was quite a let down too. I think they should have animated it and show it while on Talis home planet, because this was seriously all but and exciting moment, because it was almost as if it didnt matter. Feeding the fish was more exciting tbh.

I saw a video of her “gift” to Shepard yesterday. All I can say that was a huge let down. A cheap ass picture? Whats the matter, couldn’t be bothered to have her seen like that picture talking or something? I feel sorry for all the diehard Tali fans who have waited years for that moment.

Just another nail in ME3’s coffin of let downs and disappointments .

I just wonder who's idea it was to edit a stock photo to show off the entire look of a new alien species.

They should've just asked to use some FanArt and we would have all been better off.

This is the single biggest WTF? moment for me in the whole game, what on Earth were they thinking?

Would love to know who's brainchild this was.

lol. in hindsight, that article is hilarious. It's almost like in the end they DIDN'T want to talk about it anymore, so they said "eh, this will do". It's one thing to put effort into something and have it not appease EVERYONE, its another to half-ass it and appease NO ONE. (minus 1 or 2 oddballs)
I romanced Tali so I was hoping for the "Big Reveal" especially once we got on Rannoch, but I was disappointed. Oh well, on to the next game.

I think this a quandry really. Let's be honest, Tali was kind of shoehorned into this game because of popularity over anything else. Unmasking her in any way would have pissed off people because they have no idea what she would look like, and keeping her masked would have pissed off people because they want to see what she does look like.

So once again, I find it odd that people complain because they gave the people what they wanted, despite not wanting to do it in the first place, if previous comments are to be believed.

I agree with what another said earlier, it is one thing to work hard on something knowing you won't please everyone, nothing wrong with that.  It is quite another to half *** it not caring if it pleases no one.

As someone who was hoping they would do a proper Tali reveal, I'd rather they hadn't if that is all the more effort that was going to be put into it.

After three episodes, the 'mystical' element of the Quarians has entirely worn off. Now it's just a case of whether there is something cool in the box, or whether it was just a lie to keep people interested.

The flip side of intrigue is that you eventually have to put out. =P

It was a tough cookie, but one of the best solutions seems quite obvious too me and it has been hiding in plain sight all this time.

Others have proposed it and I fully agree: They should have modeled Tali after a young Liz and then morphed her a bit, giving her alien features. Bigger eyes, paler skin, longer neck. I am no fan of her having human hair. It seems off.

I started laughing uncontrollably when the picture showed up on by my bed, and It had all the glare on it so I couldn't really make it out. It made me laugh and laugh and laugh, best troll ever on BW's part.

Then, of course, I interact with it and then I could see it.

Oh well.

Showing Tali's face would be like WW 3, I think MUCH worse than people wanting to change the ending. You have one side people loving it and the other side people attacking those who loved her face. I like the mystery of it and keeps me thinking "What's under that helment?" anytime I see her.

Sure, a lot of people were bound to get angry whether you revealed her face or not, but I do believe they would've been less angry if Tali's face had been an original Bioware creation.

Would people be fine with the Tali's face (picture) in ME3 if it was not photoshop of a stock image?

I get the sense that is a major problem for a lot of people.

Wait. You said, that the Harry Potter films could never live up to your imagination running free while reading the books... but then you went to see them anyway.

Twilight never lived up to any expectations.

People still went to see 4 films and are waiting for the teaser for the fifth.

...Still doesn't explain how his Harry Potter admission illustrates his viewpoint about the Tali reveal. As to Twilight, I think it's clear. Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson are dreamy. At least, that's what my daughter tells me so I'm inclined to believe her.

Kidding aside, you use the word "any" like you speak for a group. Praytell which group is this? Perhaps you meant "your" expectations.

Anyone who expected it to be literature.
