I think so.

Liara is my favourite but I liked her from the start not because Bioware forced me to like her with DLC and comics.

If Bioware really loved Liara she would have been a squadmate in ME2, simple as that. If anything Bioware loves Garrus and Tali since not only are they squadmates in all the games, they where made Lis because of fan demand.

I wouldn't even say that. Someone posted an interview with Casey Husdon from last year and even it said that Liara isn't really a f/f romance. Just because she looks like a human female does not make her one. Asari are mono-gendered and Liara herself during ME1 when her and Kaidan both confront Shepard and forces her to choice tells Kaidan she isn't exactly a woman.jlb524 wrote...

No, she's not. Though, you could say she's the only true f/f romance option in the game so far.
I do not remember which thread that the link was in and Casey did say Tali, but it was a transcript of the interview, so I think they mess it up and said Tali instead of Liara.

It's a pansexual romance for Liara and a F/F romance for Shepard. Gah, every time I hear the "Monogendered" argument I rage.

Chud also called Liara Tali so forgive me if I don't take anything he said about Liara as weight.ladyvader wrote...

You having a banner means squat. That is just your opinion.jlb524 wrote...
My sig don't lie...there's one f/f romance and that's Liara. Similarly, Liara counts in the m/f total too....but no one ever questions that version as anything but heterosexual.

So your suggesting a straight woman would ponder a relationshio with Liara?

Kaiden and Ashley both turn their backs on Shepard on Horzian, Liara is there through thick and thin, she even saves Shepard's body
To be fair, Liara was the only one of the three who knew that Shepard had survived and she could hardly blame Shepard for being with Cerberus given that she was the one who gave him to Cerberus.
As far as the others knew, Shepard had been alive for two years and never bothered to contact them during all that time. It was an emotional shock and Liara could have been equally shocked if she hadn't know all about it from the start.
Personally, Liara's geeky, vulnerability and innocence in the beginning is what endeared her to me as the romance for my canon male Shep but I've tried all the romances in ME1 and ME2 and I think they're all viable.

You like Liara alot, we get it. Now get off of your high horse and stop trying to make out that Liara is better than every other character in the series, it's just your opinion, like everyone else has one. This is a RPG, there is no canon LI, it's what the player chooses. So do us a favour, think before you tell people they are wrong becuase they dont share the same opinion as you.

So yeah, I got a comment on my youtube video ( Liara Romance scene after shadow broker) which can be found here
"It is VERY hard not to romance? liara in this series. Out of every ME love interest, she's the only one who genuinely adores Shepard and would do anything for him. Yes, Tali is cute and I realize she's the fan favourite since her awkward crush is cute, but Liara is probably the only multi-dimensional female in this series. And I personally wanna see where the relationship goes, they must face one reality: Liara will outlive Shepard. Can she handle that?" - bobizzle1605
And I have to say I couldn't agree more, Liara seems the be the only viable Love Interest in the whole series, the one that will mean the most, especially with her making the appearance in ME2 with the Shadow Broker DLC and Kaiden and Ashley not having the same impact, Even without the DLC you still had more of an interaction with Liara. It just seems bioware really push Liara to be your romance option and like bobizzle1605 said, Its very hard not to romance her.
It's quite easy not to romance her and it would be even easier if BW didn't push her. The more they push, the less my Shep wants to see her at all
