According to Bioware, they are aiming for the length of ME2 but with improved replayability. (< thats a word, right?)

same as ME2.

20 hours for a rush playthrough
40 hours for a completionist playthrough

DLC not included.

I'd want it to be the longest (so like...50 hours or something)

But I think it'll wind up being 30-40 hours length (assuming decent effort on sidequests); which is fine as long as there is lots of replayability.

Took me 64 hours for my first me2 play through.

I'm not worried about length; at the minimum I will replay the game 6 times.

Like it's predecessors. Ever since Jade-Empire all BW games (with the big excepion being DA:O) tend to be somewhat short for RPGs -imo-.

Casey Hudson said in a Twitter post a long time ago that it would be as long as ME2. So, if he is counting all of the side missions and DLC time (which took me around 45 hours on Insanity,) then I would say the game will be about 40+ hours.

The longer the better, but I hope it's a lot of good and interesting missions instead of 30 missions where you detect an anomaly and shoot up some mercs.

Without DLC, an average playthrough for ME1 and ME2 has been, for most people, about twenty-five to thirty-five hours and it's been said that for ME3 they're shooting for an length about equal to ME2. With more meat on the bone for the main plot, it be a little longer than ME2, but with the whole need to beat the Reapers, there might be less room for side missions, so that might even things out.

As others have said, the longer the better. Hopefully it will be about the same length as ME2, which, for me, is about 45 to 50 hours long.

Didn't Casey tweet that they're aiming for about the same length as ME2?

I'd assume it will be 30-40 hours. Probably 40-50 if your first play through is on insanity.

Yes. And he also said they are trying to make a lot of replay value.

Exactly, and I'm completely satisfied with this. ME2 can easily take over 50 hours if you do every little thing with all DLC installed, though I didn't think it had the best replay value, so ME3 will hopefully cover that!

I feel confident in saying replay value is something they don't have to worry about. I'm going to be playing through it at least 6 times.

I dont really see how ME3 will have a higher replay value than ME2. I, for one, have played ME2 to completion 6-7 times and it will, most likely, have the same premise/gameplay as ME3, so I would think the replay value should be on par with 2. If that is the case, AWESOME!

i would say that longer is better! i love having to sit down with a game for a week before can come close to finishing it in full. however long it ends up being i will deff be playing through multiple times

Remember tho, since this is the last of the trilogy, they don't have to tone down the impact of the choices to accomadate for a sequel. So they can make it much more replayable than ME2

I honestly thought ME1 had more replay value than ME2, but that's probably just me. ;)
