^Well Vega is Alliance grunt, like Ashley and Kaidan in ME1.
Also I don't think we ever had someone to tank in ME1 and 2.

We don't know if squadmates can equip any weapon, they've only said any class can(talking about shep)

I doubt it. That would mean Vega could possibly be a biotic and I just don't see that being left up to the Virmire variable.TheMakoMaster wrote...
just throwing this out there, in order to diversify your squad's skill set, might vega's skill set be a clone of the virmire casualty?
Was just speaking on the phone with a friend about that very question. If so, then I might not get him killed. Whoever fired that Widow in the "Fall of Earth" trailer has some skill even though it was a cutscene, it really fit the person. As far as that being Vega, I don't know. Many that I spoke to about it say yes and others think that it's a random NPC. But when I paused it, the person was wearing detailed armor and the eerie thing is that when I zoom in on it, I can't tell if it's a male or a female. If you pause at 0:54, it looks as if the sniper has the build of a woman. Who that may be I have no idea.Stardusk78 wrote...
Is that him with the Widow in the trailer?

They die very fast.
Hard to call that tanking.

I have a hard time picturing a man who wears half a car for armour falling under the category of "stealth specialist", unfortunately.

did you leave Tali out for a specific reason?

I reckon he'll be an Engineer... and before anyone goes on about Engineers using Sniper Rifles... obvious response to that is Legion. Engineer with a Sniper Rifle.
Why Engineer...
Soldier - Ashley and Zaeed
Infiltrator - Kasumi (although someone will possibly argue that she's the engineer seeing as she can be used in the vent, but I see her more as an Infiltrator due to her cloak and FBG bonus)
Engineer - No one yet...
Sentinel - Miranda and Kaidan
Biotic - Jack
Vanguard - Jacob
So either James will be an Engineer or another so far unnamed squadmate will be I reckon to complete the 6, interesting note of course is how the VS positions are covered by another squaddie.

No
and the only reason Legion got mentioned was purely to highlight how
'engineer' squadmates can have sniper rifles. Tali doesn't have a Sniper
Rifle she has a shotgun. If you look at my post again you'll see how
the only squadmates I listed in the class list are human ones. Which was
the point of my post as to why I believe James possibly will be
Engineer.

I think it was "counting thich human squaddies we already have because next time it will be someone different". Like elves-companions in DA - after elf rogue in DAO and confirmed elf mage I already expected elf-warrior.Sheppard-Commander wrote...

That makes...no sense...are you under the impression that we will only have humans as squad mates in ME3? Why would you leave out SM's because they arent human?

I have a feeling James Vega will tie in with Cerberus in some way. Either as a hidden agent or someone who absolutely hates them. We have been told he is important to the story for new players. I don't think he will just be a boring footsoldier so I'm going to go with the theory he is a cyborg, beefed up with experimental Reaper tech before escaping from a cerberus laboratory some time in the past.

He looks pretty bland as well. Also, not stealthy at all.Stardusk78 wrote...

No, he'll be a soldier and a tank.
Soldiers can use snipers, remember?
Sounds pretty bland...
