As a huge supporter of quick time events, I really hope so. I know people will b*tch about them and scream "God of War!" (or probably "Call of Duty!" since that appears to be the standard insult around these parts) I've always thought they help keep things feeling fresh so the combat doesn't feel as repetitive.

How dare you pair something so awesome and epic as God of War to some mediocre kiddie game like COD?

Even the interrupts in ME2 were ocasionally annoying (ok, in LOTSB). I missed a couple of the QT's in LOTSB, as they flashed by very quickly and I was actually listening to the conversation, and felt compelled to replay entire fights to see them.

I was not happy. Not happy at all.

It doesn't work in AC, i put down the controller to relax a bit and... oh missed another!!!

Poor Leonardo da Vinci :crying:

And yep the interrupts were annoying on LOTSB.
The whole "cinematic experience" thing gone too far.

I'll always support quick time events as finishers. Instead of just roll a cutscene let me take part in it a little.

exactly... its just a way to make boss fights a little bit more exciting instead of watching the merc group leaders just fall over, or the reaper shake his head a bit before falling down.  i was honestly a bit dissapointed with the lack of endings to the major fight scenes in ME2 and this short QTE's could potentially fix that.  again nothing major just a nice way to kill off a few bigger bosses... especially with the new omni blade i think they could be really cool

What I dislike about QTEs is that I always end up so focused on the little flashing icon that I ignore the action that's happening on screen.

So much this. I recently got star wars the force unleashed (first one) and I find the QTEs in each boss fight breaking my concentration on the cutscene.

I will admit, however, they did the fail-a-QTE-return-to-beginning pretty well. But I don't think we need to be implementing any completely new gameplay mechanics like this in the final act of a trilogy.

Like having them every 3 hours, accepting coffee, missing a hug?

Like kissing Christina, taking off the dress, go offscreen and press "Y" lol. That's it! QTEs in LI cutscenes!

After dying over 9000 times in Tomb Raider Legend due to QTE's I can positively say I am sick of them.

I will suport qte's in mass effect 3 on one condition : you can turn them off.

^ Ha ha.

Unfortunately I don't think they'd let us. For me the para/ren neon sign interrupts are enough and they used them way too much during 2 most were uncalled for. I only appreciated the ones that poped up for tactical advantage or shep reacted to being insulted either for himself or on behalf of a crewmen (krogan headbut) all others were useless in ME2. The ones I hit for DLCs seemed appropriate though.
