so let them live or die cause in ME2 it is always saying that humanity now has a bigger part in the galaxy due to the councils death

I'll probably be easier to secure alliances with the other species when the original council is still alive. One, said council is already comprised of multiple races, and are the central exhibit of inter-species cooperation. Two, being led by a human-dominated council will probably be intimidating and/or frustrating for other species, especially the turians.
I allowed the council to die, so that's what I'm expecting. Who knows, though.

Unknown, there wasn't much effect in ME2 except dialogue changes really. It should considering the impact of having an all human council to the standard. We saw how hostile some species were to humanity with a renegade ME ending. There was one Turian in a shop on the citadel for example who refused to talk to you if you let the council die. If they lived he told you a sellers story. However on the opposite side Thane's loyalty mission had no flexibility and you saw how with either ending aggression against humans was up.
I would hope this has a major impact recruiting and unifying species in ME3. It may just be different dialogue in the way you go about it, but I really do hope and think there should be a recognisable consequence to the decision.

I'd let them live just so you can do the ironic echo in ME3.

Ain't that easy
In other words, it's one of the hard choices and nobody can really tell you what the "right" answer is...if there is any.

Let them live! Anderson is more than likely the only one to have your back, but I have a feeling he wouldn't approve of you letting them die *though he takes issue with them in ME2)

When you get to that point in the game, consider your options and make your own damn decision.
Depending on which of my Shepards I am playing, they alternately live or die.

Or... make several games and get as many different permutations as you can!
Really it doesnt matter, do what you feel your shepard would do. We cant play it for ya
(or if you use ME2 saves.com....I guess we can

Depends on what you think is smart move at the point when Joker asks you what to do, also depends on what you believe in... your Shepard believes. Don't ask people for such decisions, 'cause then it's their game then, not yours. No use of meta gaming here and what good is your Shepard if you let others impose their beliefs and decisions upon you? Just don't do it, have quad and make your own decision, simple as that.

If you kill them, many people will think that you are siding with humans only. You'll hear stuff on the news and in casual conversation about bigotry going on in the alliance etc. etc. You'll hear way more comments about humans only looking out for themselves.

I guess it all just depends on whether or not you want the humans to lead the council or if you liked the old council then let them live. It's too soon to tell right now whether or not they will make much of an impact to the story or your choices to even have them there or not.

Killing or not council, has no affect in bigger situations all. You can kill 100 times council and it will be allways replaced with new ones. Only affect is you own relation with council.

I've let them die because it seemed like the correct miltary/tactical decision.
But, saving them doesn't make you pay a heavy enough price for your risky move.
I still leave them to their fate often, because the saving everyone thing just seems stupid to me.
