Strangely enough no one(save Isabella) betrayed me on my first playthrough not even Merril who hated me and I chose the Templar path and killed Anders and she still supported my Hawke.

On my first playthrough only sebastian because i let anders live. I was at 100% friendship with everybody else.

Question: can compagnions leave if you have 100% rivalry?
Example: 100% Rivalry (Romance) with Fenris, siding with mages. Will he still leave?

Sebastian counts, and once Anders. I finally decided not to kill him just the once and let him run, the bum came back and attacked me. Silly abomination. I let Fenris get the killing blow.

Sure Sebastian counts as to leaving you, but he can't betray you.

Nah a 100% on either side and he wont leave, I also think the romance would make him stay, though I'm not sure about that one.

On my first run, no one. On my second, Fenris at first, but he came back and Sebastian left. On my 3rd go, no one.

- Isabela ran off with the book
- Sebastian ran off to Starkhaven when I spared Anders
- Anders(100% friendship) decided to come back and kill me after I sided with the templars.

I think I did something wrong with Anders....

NO, the only one who always leave for me siding with mages and not killing ander is sebastian, fenris as rival hate tavinter and everything that "they represent", is not clear if he still hates mages, he  do not trust  mages thats all i get with him 100 rival and Li.

Thats why He doesn't accept the last "gift", He do not want to feel that way when he confront the tavinter's mages.

And by Sebatian leaving the party before a battle is called treason, ask any soldier or general they will tell you.
Read history books, if people leave their leader before or after a battle they are killed and are called traitors.

Hawke is not Sebastian's leader but his friend and guide. It is not treason to walk away from a equal when they choose to spare a criminal.
Read some Psychology books. If people leave their friend because s/he went against everything he beleives in that is not called a traitor but a goddamn badass.
