That mission on board the Abandoned Station where there is only the AI and dead bodies all over is really creepy...

It's all dark with creepy music, dead bodies and blood everywhere and nothing else...

Yikes!!

I think the shrieks the Husks make are the creepiest part of the game.

Completely forgot about Overlord! Yes, being inside the Geth ship and having him pop out at you is creepy...

I never really found the abandoned station to be creepy or Overlord. For me, the creepy part of ME2 was when I frst went throught the Reaper corpse. Eerie feel to that one.

I agree... It was an amazing change of pace, ME2 kind of went from being a kind of third person shooter/action-rpg to something of a survival horror game in that mission. It wasn't as creepy as the beginning of Silent Hill, but it certianly used some of the same techniques, be it music, imagery, or how long it is before you actually encounter anyone, when you finally do encounter an enemy it suddenly becomes frantic.

I hope ME3 has a handful of those kind of curveball missions just to keep players guessing.

edit: wait, thought you were talking about the derelict reaper. The abandoned station did have some creepiness, until it was clear that the only enemy was the base's AI, then it lost any spookiness for me. The derelict reaper did it the right way, crank up the tension as long as possible, and then show that there's a reason for being tense.

I thought the derelict reaper was creepier. It had all the stuff like the videos of the Cerberus people getting indoctrinated and Legion following you around and stuff.
But then the collector thing did have piles of dead people around which was...well, kind of unsettling.
