This has been mentioned before but I suffer from repeated game crashes. There doesn't seem to be any way to reliably reproduce this other than play for a bit, get into an incredibly inconvenient spot in the game and then have it crash. I'm running Win7 x64 and have already applied the so-called 4GB patch to the game but, unfortunately, that hasn't helped.
This is getting a bit frustrating to have the game be so unreliable. I played through all of DA:O without this happening and now that I'm on Awakenings...UGH.
Any solutions that have worked for all of you?

Everyone doesn't have the same symptoms, and you have to provide much more, much better data from which to start a diagnosis. Refer to Raen's pinned sticky about reporting, and write your report accordingly (it's the one that says "Read First", but you didn't do it).

The crash manifests as a brief freeze in the game (half a second or so) and then CTD ("Dragon Age: Origins has stopped working...")
Event viewer log entry:
This problem began as soon as I started playing Awakenings. It happens periodically, sometimes after 10 minutes of play, sometimes after an hour. I'm wondering if there's another way to resolve this besides reinstalling the game, which would be a pain.
